What qualified candidates must do now
- Prove your qualifying degree if you were still appearing. If you marked yourself as “appearing” at the Prelims stage, update your status and upload proof of passing. UPSC says your candidature will be cancelled if you do not.
- Update the rest of the form where it applies. This includes address, service preference, home cadre, work experience and any OBC or EWS annexure.
- Get your original certificates ready. You will need them at the interview for age, education, community, EWS and disability claims. Reservation certificates must have been issued by 27 February 2026, the closing date for the Prelims application.
- Report an address or contact change quickly. UPSC asks candidates to do this by letter or email within 7 days of the notice. Its address is [email protected].
- Watch for the Attestation Form. It opens on the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) website when interviews begin, and must be submitted online by the time they end.
Candidature stays provisional until eligibility is confirmed. The notice does not give marks or cut-offs, and UPSC will not change interview dates once allotted, except in rare cases.
