Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited is inviting online applications to fill up 30 vacant posts of Accounts Officers. The detailed notification is available with Advt. no. 02/VSA/2020/AO on the official website which is uppcl.org. Interested candidates can send their applications from July 01, 2020, onwards. The last date to submit the online application form is July 22, 2020. A computer-based test is conducted by UPPCL for the selection of candidates. Online CBT exam is scheduled to be held in the second week of August 2020.
The announced vacancies for UPPCL Accounts Office recruitment are divided amongst various categories. Out of the 30 vacancies, 03 vacancies are reserved for EWS, 03 for Other Backwards Class, 18 vacancies for Scheduled Caste, 02 for Scheduled Tribe and 04 are for Unreserved category. Candidates who are shortlisted for these vacancies are offered a salary of Rs.56100 – Rs 177500/- per month.
Candidates willing to apply for UPPCL recruitment must have proper knowledge of Hindi in Devanagri script. They should have passed the final examination of Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Indian, New Delhi or Cost Accountant from Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India, Kolkata. Experience in the relevant field is a desirable qualification. Candidates must have working experience in Finance/Accounts/Audit Branch of a large reputed company. The age of the eligible candidates should be between the age group of 21 years to 40 years as on January 01, 2020. However, age relaxation is provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved category. Candidates of SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy) of Uttar Pradesh have their upper age limit relaxed up to 05 years. Those who are already working with UPPCL are also given age relaxation of 05 years on upper age limit.
The window to submit the UPPCL Accounts Officer application form commences on uppcl.org. Candidates have to visit the official website and click on ‘Apply online for Advt No 02/VSA/2020/AO’. Keep an active email address and mobile number before proceeding with the application procedure. To apply, candidates have to pay the fee of Rs.1000/-. Those candidates who belong to SC/ST category of Uttar Pradesh have to submit Rs.700/- as the application fee. The fee can be paid through online using Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking gateways and an offline process using SBI Challan.
The selection of candidates is done through the Computer-based Test and Interview round. UPPCL conducts the CBT exam for 03 hours. Candidates have to answer 200 multiple choice questions carrying 01 marks each. However, there is a negative of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer marked by aspirants. Candidates who are shortlisted are invited for the interview round. UPPCL conducts the interview round for 25 marks. In this, aspirants are required to carry educational qualification certificates and mark sheets, Caste certificate, EWS certificate, Domicile certificate for verification. After the commencement of both the rounds, UPPCL releases a final merit list.
