The Directorate of Public Health and Family Welfare, Vijayawada has recently released a notification for the post of Civil Assistant Surgeon. The detailed notification is available on cfw.ap.nic.in with Notification no. 01/2020. The directorate has advertised a total of 665 vacancies for Assistant Surgeon. Candidates who are selected have to serve as the Assistant Surgeon in Primary Health Centers which are under the control of the Director of Public Health and Family Member, Vijayawada. Shortlisted candidates have to serve a probation period of three years during which they are paid Rs.53,000/- per month. Interested candidates can send their online applications from June 19, 2020, up to July 18, 2020.
In order to apply online, candidates should ensure that they are fulfilling the eligibility criteria. It is mandatory for the candidate to have an MBBS degree and should be registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council. The age of the candidate applying for the posts, should not be more than 42 years, as on June 01 2020. However, the upper age limit is relaxed of candidates belonging to the reserved category. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC category get the age relaxation of 05 years. Age relaxation of 10 years is given to the candidates who are physically challenged, whereas the ex-servicemen are given 03 years.
The online application form is available on the official website of Commissionerate of Health and Family Welfare which is cfw.ap.nic.in. The link to submit the application form is available under the ‘Notification of the recruitment of Civil Assistant Surgeons 2020’. Each applicant is required to pay an amount of Rs. 500/- in Account No: 913020053261532 of Axis Bank, Bhavanipuram, Vijayawada IFSC Code: UTIB0001900. No fee exemption is provided to the reserved category candidates of SC/ST/BC and Physically challenged person.
Candidates have to upload self-attested copies of some documents with the online application form. They have to upload MBBS Degree Certificate, marks secured in aggregate in MBBS degree exams, Internship completion certificate, Permanent Registration in AP State Medical Council Certificate, 10th standard certificate as the date of birth proof, Study Certificates from class 4th to 10th, Caste Certificate, Service certificate.
The conducting body selects the candidates based on their eligibility criteria. Aspirants who have MBBS degree exam, then 75% marks are allotted to them. Likewise, 15% weightage is given to those candidates who are working on contract or outsourcing basis. The Directorate of Public Health and Family Welfare (DPH&FW) does not conduct any interview round. Candidates are shortlisted for the post of Civil Assistant Surgeons based on their eligibility scores.
