Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) hereby publishes result of JE exam on 18 Oct 2018 for computer based test held on 27 Aug 2018. Answer keys were issued after conducting exam and result has been compiled after taking objections against the same into consideration.
Result of UPPCL JE 2018 is on basis of normalised marks obtained in exam. Since the exam was held in two shifts, marks have been normalised. The number of candidates shortlisted is two times the number of vacancies. Candidates can check result online.
The result PDF clarifies that the list of shortlisted candidates is not in any order of ranking. It says
Shortlisted candidates need to attend document verification as per date given in result. Document verification has been kept at different slots that are 9 AM on 28 Oct 2018, 1 PM on 28 Oct 2018, 9 AM on 29 Oct 2018, 1 PM on 29 Oct 2018.
On the first day, first slot that is 28 Oct 2018, 9 AM, the number of candidates called for document verification is 125. 125 candidates have been shortlisted for document verification on 28 Oct 2018 at 1 PM. UPPCL has shortlisted 125 candidates to come for document verification on 29 Oct 2018 at 9 AM. 124 candidates have been called for document verification on 29 Oct 2018 at 1 PM.
Thus overall 499 candidates will come for document verification. The number of vacancies for Junior Engineer (Electrical Trainee) in UPPCL are 226. Candidates possessing technical qualification of Diploma in Electrical Engineering were asked to apply in response to Advt No. 05/VSA/2017/JE.
UPPCL is also sending SMS and email to qualified candidates about their date, time, venue for document verification. Call up letter for the same is also being sent via email.
Candidates must bring call up letter, documents such as category certificate, domicile and others along with color passport size photograph for document verification.
UPPCL JE recruitment was initiated in 2017. Candidates had already appeared in the exam in February 2018. However probes were prompted following concerns of paper leak. This led to cancellation of the paper and re-exam was conducted in August.
