The writ petition has been filed at the Allahabad High Court alleging malpractice in the examination centre. The UP Police SI recruitment 2021 exam concluded on December 02. Now, it all depends on the writ petition since it will decide the future course of events.
In the major turn of events, the Uttar Pradesh Police SI recruitment 2021 process has now come to a cliffhanger. A writ petition has been filed by Vineet Chahal and others accusing the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board of rigging. The petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court demanding a re-examination. In addition to that, the petition calls for a CBI or high-committee investigation behind the entire matter. All of these are now likely to put a halt in the result declaration process.
It has come to light that the UP Police Recruitment Board has accused the Mumbai-based private company National Stock Exchange Information Technology Limited of rigging. The company was given the tender for conducting the recruitment examination. As per reports, it has been alleged that the picture of taking photos with mobile phones inside the examination centre has gone viral. Not only that but it also has been alleged that the computer screen provided at the centre through the VNC app has been shared by a group of people outside using virtual network computing.
The group, in this way, helped certain candidates secure good marks by helping them solve the question paper via the VNC app. It has been alleged that the gang took 10 to 15 lakh rupees and with the help of the company and examination centres, solved the question paper for the examination. Experts on YouTube have claimed that the Court is yet to accept the writ petition. In case it does, then the Court will initiate further investigation.
A total of 15 lakh candidates had applied for 9534 posts of the UP Police SI recruitment. The examination was conducted in three phases starting from November 12 to December 02. The question papers, along with the answer keys have already been released earlier. Candidates were given time to raise objections against the provisional answer key based on which new answer keys are going to be released.
The results were supposed to be released by the end of this month. In case there is a delay, then the tentative date has been predicted to be around January 07, 2022. Along with the results, a list of candidates who have qualified or not qualified for DVPST will be published. At this point, it all depends on what the Court decides on the writ petition.
