Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC), has confirmed a new date for the Assistant Conservator of Forest prelims exam. The decision to change the exam date was taken as the earlier announced date was clashing with the UPSC Civil Services (IAS) Mains 2019 exam. As per the latest notification by UKPSC, the ACF prelims will be held on on October 06, 2019, instead of previously notified date September 29, 2019. All the government job aspirants who have applied for the recruitment, can download their admit cards from September 21, 2019 from the official website of the commission, ukpsc.gov.in.
The hall ticket is called as pravesh patra which will contain date of the exam, reporting time, examination center assigned by the Commission, roll number of the candidate. Candidates are strictly advised to adhere to the instructions given on the admit card. It will be the responsibility of applicants to download the UKPSC admit card to get entry in the exam hall. Therefore, candidates must keep their registration number and date of birth handy which will be required to download the admit card.
The prelims paper of Assistant Conservator of Forest will be held offline in pen and paper mode. The question paper of the prelim test is divided into two parts – general studies and general aptitude test carrying a total of 150 marks. The candidates have to solve the paper within 2 hours.
As far as the syllabus of UKPSC ACF 2019 is concerned, the general studies papers will cover topics such as sports, Indian history, geography, politics, environmental problems, general knowledge related to the state of Uttarakhand and its culture. The topics that will be asked in general aptitude test will be from verbal, non-verbal and analytical types consisting of analogies, similarities, differences, missing numbers, characters and sequences, space visualization, coding –decoding, arithmetical reasoning.
Only those who clear the prelims will be called for mains. The Mains paper will have 5 sections – general hindi, general english, general knowledge, first optional subject and second optional subject. The marks of the respective sections will be – 100, 100, 100, 200, 200. Candidates will get 3 hours duration in each sections of the paper. It is essential to obtain minimum of 35% marks in General Hindi paper. Candidates who qualify the Mains exam, have to appear in the final round i.e, Personal Interview which will carry 75 marks.
The exam is proposed to be conducted in various cities of Uttarakhand – Almora, Pithoragarh, Haldwani (Nainital), Hridwar, Dehradun, Srinagar (Pauri Garhwal), New Tehri (Tehri Garhwal) and Uttarkashi.
Candidates must note that 45 vacancies will be filled through the post of Assistant Conservator of Forest. It is compulsory to qualify both the prelims and mains examination to get shortlisted. Candidates on appointment, will be getting a salary in pay scale level 10 i.e Rs 56100-177500.
UKPSC has conducted several recruitments for the post of Civil judge, Additional private secretary exam, APO recruitment, Lower and upper subordinate services exam, Veterinary officer recruitment, Assistant conservator of forest. The UKPSC was constituted under the provisions of the article 315 of the constitution of India by the Governor and came into existence on May 15, 2001.
