UGC NET Answer Key December 2019

National Testing Agency has published the answer keys of UGC NET December 2019 exam today, on December 10, 2019. NTA has in fact released the question paper, response sheets, along with provisional answer keys at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

The University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test was held from December 2 to 6, 2019. When candidates login to the link provided today, they can view their question paper that is questions that they encountered in the exam, their response sheet that is answers they had marked in exam, and answer key relevant to the question paper they got.

How to download UGC NET Answer Key December 2019?

Go to ugcnet.nta.nic.in and click “view question paper and challenge provisional answer key” link. On the next page are 2 options – through application number and password, through application number and date of birth. Clicking the first one leads to the login form where one has to enter application number, password, security pin. And the second link leads to login using application number, date of birth, security pin. Either ways, one can login and then through candidate dashboard, get their UGC NET answer key with question paper and responses.

How to challenge the answer key?

After logging in, candidates need to click “Challenge/s regarding Answer Key”. This will display the question IDs in sequential order. That ID which is next to the question, in the column titled “correct option” is the correct option as per NTA.

Now those who wish to challenge it, can use any one or more of the option IDs against the next four columns by clicking the check box in them.

After selecting the option, which is correct in challenger’s opinion, scroll down and click “save your claim”.

The next screen then displays all the option IDs challenged. Supporting documents can be uploaded at this stage by selecting the “choose file” option; all documents must be in a single pdf file. Then click “save your claim finally”.

Now all challenges are displayed on one screen. Here click. “Click here to pay fee”. A fee of Rs 1000 per question challenged needs to be paid for every question challenged. Payment can be made through debit card, credit card, and netbanking. NTA will refund the fee of all those whose challenge is found to be correct.

Candidates will get 2 marks for every correct answer. For incorrect answers, there is no negative marking. For unattempted question, neither will any marks be awarded nor deducted.

Thus the marks obtained in exam shall equal total number of correct answers multiplied by 2. The total number of candidates to be qualified will be 6% of the candidates appeared in each slot.

NTA has disclosed that a total of 7,93,813 candidates had appeared in the UGC NET December 2019 exam. Thus, more than 47000 candidates should ideally be qualified in this exam.

On December 13, 2019, the link to view responses, questions, answer key will be deactivated at 11:50 pm. UGC NET result will be announced by December 31, 2019, on the basis of final answers compiled by the agency.
