GUJCET 2021 Exam Date Announced

The UGC NET 2020 exam is scheduled to be conducted from September 24 to November 05, 2020. As such, the schedule of the exam spans a three months’ time period. However, the National Testing Agency has issued the admit cards for the exam scheduled to be conducted on September 24 and 25, 2020 only. As per the official notice issued by the NTA at the website ugcnet.nta.nic.in, admit cards for the rest of the exam dates will be issued on the website soon. Reportedly, chances are, the admit cards for the exam to be conducted on Sep 29 and 30, 2020 will be available from September 24, 2020.

With the admit cards for the UGC NET 2020 exam to be held on September 24 and 25, 2020 available to download, applicants who have their exams on other dates must be wondering when they are going to get their admit cards. The admit card for September 24 & 25, 2020 exam was released 5 days earlier on September 19, 2020. Based on such a schedule, it is speculated that the admit card for the exam scheduled to be conducted on September 29 and 30, 2020 will be available on September 24, 2020.

After postponing the UGC NET 2020 exam for the second time in a row, the NTA has announced the complete schedule of exam. Accordingly, the exam is scheduled to be conducted on September 24, 25, 29 & 30, 2020, October 01, 07, 09, 17, 21, 22, and 23, 2020 and November 05, 2020. The exam is scheduled to be conducted in two consecutive shifts on each day. The first shift exam starts at 09.00 AM and ends at 12.00 PM while the second shift exam starts at 03.00 PM and ends at 06.00 PM.

The admit card for the exam scheduled to be conducted on September 24, 2020 and September 25, 2020 is already displayed at the official website. Candidates whose exam is on the aforementioned dates can download the admit card by logging in with the Application Number, Date of Birth and Security Pin. The admit card for the exams for other subjects to be conducted from September 29, 2020 onward can be downloaded in the same way as and when issued by the Agency.

Reportedly, the UGC NET 2020 exam dates from October 21 to 23 are clashing with the festivals of Durgapuja and Navaratri in some of the Eastern states. West Bengal Education Minister, Partha Chatterjee has dissented against the NTA’s decision to schedule the exam on such dates when the entire state would be celebrating.

The Minister has reportedly refused to conduct the exam during such dates. Furthermore, Chatterjee has vowed to appeal to the NTA to take into consideration the case of lakhs of candidates from the state who have already applied and willing to appear in the UGC NET 2020 exam this year.
