UGC NET Result 2020 - Procedure and Criteria of Declaration
The National Testing Agency has given a comprehensive process that it uses to announce the results of UGC NET. It's a simple six-step procedure. The following steps will be followed:
Step 1: Calculation of total slots in UGC NET 2020 Result (Eligibility for Assistant Professor):
>>The number of candidates to be qualified will be equal to 6 percent of the candidates who appeared in both paper 1 and paper 2.
Step 2: Dividing the total slots category wise as per the
reservation policy of the Government of India.
Step 3: Comparing the marks of the 2019 UGC NET applicants with the qualifying marks.
>> Marks are determined as per the final official response key and are then normalized as per the normalization formula. For the next steps, only those candidates who have marks equal to or higher than the qualifying marks shall be considered.
Step 4: The number of candidates to be considered eligible for any subject. A specific category is derived from the criteria outlined below:
Step 5: Checking how many of the candidates who qualify under the above step and also have applied for the JRF.

When will NTA announce UGC NET results?
As per the past year's trends, the UGC NET result was declared around 15-20 days after the conduction of the examination. This year, the exam has been held from September 24 to November 13, 2020. So it is expected that the UGC NET 2020 result will be out in the month of December 2020.

KDA writes to the central government regarding the imposition of Hindi in UG NET Exam
Kannada Development Authority said the candidate who wrote UGC NET had face difficulty understanding some of the questions in English but it had been offered a translation only in Hindi. The KDA filed its complaint against the "discriminatory approach" in the letter. It also urged the authorities to fix this and to send a report within the next two months.

Exam pattern of UGC NET and Marking Scheme
UGC NET exam is conducted in CBT mode and exam consists of two papers, where candidates have to answer objective type and multiple choice questions. Students get no break between the papers. Paper 1 is of 100 marks and carries 50 questions, Paper II is of 200 marks and have 100 questions. Candidates get the 03 hours time to answer the questions and all the questions are compulsory. Correct answer add +2 marks to the candidates score whereas there isn't any provision of negative marking so wrong answer doesn't lead to any marks deduction.

Candidates cannot take any baggage in the exam hall, and NTA does not take any responsibility of the items stolen or lost. No textual material is allowed such as DocuPen, Calculators, Log Tables, Slide Rules, and Electronic Watches with calculator, printed or any kind of written material, mobile phone, bits of papers, ager or any of the electronic gadget/ device, Bluetooth devices, etc. Smoking, spitting, chewing gutkha or any kind of eatables are prohibited in the exam hall.

Things allowed to be taken inside exam hall
Candidates are allowed to carry the admit card along with the self declaration form to the exam centre. The admit card should only be downloaded from the official website of NTA and the printout should be taken on A4 size paper and filled properly. It is mandatory for the attendees to carry one government issued photo ID to the exam centre, a ball point pen with the transparent body, an extra photo that will be pasted on the attendance sheet. Apart of this candidates can also carry the hand sanitizer of 50 ml and a water bottle.
Dress Code for UGC NET exam
NTA has not suggested the stringent dress code rules for UGC NET exam 2020, but the instructions say that the candidates should not wear the dresses that have large buttons of the shoes with the thick sole. Secondly, the candidates who have Kirpan or are wearing Kada should report to the centre at least one and a half-hour before the exam, so that the necessary checking is done.
UGC NET Self Declaration Form
Self-declaration form for the candidate is attached with the admit card of UGC NET 2020 exam by NTA. Candidates have to download and take the print-out of the document which has four pages, i.e admit card, exam instructions and self-declaration form. It is mandatory for the attendee to get the undertaking signed by their parents mandatorily before reaching the exam hall. Candidates have to answer certain questions in the undertaking such as if they have any of the COVID-19 symptoms, or if they came in contact with any of the COVID infected person, they have to mention if they are in mandatory quarantine or not, travel history to other country or inter-state travelling for the exam.
