Office of the Superintendent of Police, Government of Tripura is inviting offline applications from eligible female candidates to fill up 213 vacancies for the post of Mahila Police Volunteer (MPV). A detailed employment notification is published in this regard containing the terms and conditions of recruitment and other important information regarding the eligibility conditions and application procedure. Offline applications can be forwarded to the specified authority starting from July 16, 2020. The last date of receipt of applications is August 04, 2020.
As per the published employment notification, the 213 advertised vacancies are available under Gomati Tripura District. Only local female candidates are eligible to apply for recruitment to the aforementioned posts. Candidates must be domiciled in the same geographical area and able to speak, read and write in the local dialect. Such female candidates who are compliant with the aforementioned criteria and have passed the exam of Class 12 are eligible to apply for the recruitment. In addition, such candidates must also have attained the minimum age of 21 years in order to apply for the recruitment.
Eligible candidates have to submit a self-declaration that they are not affiliated to any political party and they do not have any pending criminal procedures against her. As such, applicants must not have been convicted under Criminal Law for imprisonment. In addition, candidates who have criminal proceedings instituted against her in the past or ongoing are not eligible to apply for the recruitment.
The recruitment is only open for local female candidates who meet the other specified eligibility conditions. Only one candidate is selected from each Gram Panchayat/Ward. Therefore candidates who are domiciled in the concerned Gram Panchayat, Village Committee, Nagar Panchayat, Municipal Corporation, Police Station, Police Outposts under the Gomati Tripura district are preferred for selection. However, the selection of eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of merit as per the discretion of the selection committee. Appointed candidates are entitled to receive a monthly payment of Rs 1000 under the Central Government Scheme.
As per the official notice, applications must be forwarded during the specified dates. A proforma of the application form is appended with the detailed recruitment notification. Applications on the prescribed proforma must be sent to the Superintendent of Police (DIB), Gomati Tripura District, 3rd Floor of District Transport Office Building, Kailarmath, Udaipur, Gomati District, Tripura, Pin – 799120. The applications must reach the authorities on or before the last date. Selected candidates are engaged in the MPV post for acting as a link between the Police and community and in facilitating women in distress.
