Tripura minister of school education, Ratan Lal Nath, has announced that due to the rising cases of COVID-19, all the schools, colleges and universities which are under the state government will be closed until further notice. However, all the pre scheduled exams will be held without any changes. This includes the class 10 and 12 boards exams as well.
Minister Ratan Lal has tweeted: “Due to surges in covid cases it has been decided that from 17.04.2021 all the classes of schools, colleges and universities which are under the state government (Including private Institutions) would remain closed until further order. Only the pre-scheduled exams will be held.”
The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) will conduct board exams 2021 for classes 10 and 12 as per schedule. The class 12 exam will be held from May 18 to June 11, 2021, and the examinations for class 10th will be conducted from May 19 to June 04th, 2021.
The class 10th first exam will be held on May 19 for Language – I (Bengali, Hindi, Kokborok, Mizo). On May 25, 2021, Social Science will be held. On May 28, 2021, the science exam is scheduled. Mathematics will b held on June 1 and optional subjects will be held on June 4, 2021.
For the class 12 exam, the first scheduled paper is English on May 18, 2021. Bengali, Hindi, Kokborok, and Mizo will be held on May 21, 2021. Chemistry, Political Science, and Sociology will be held on May 24, 2021. On May 27, 2021, Business Studies, Education, and Physics papers will be held. Computer Science and Music will be held on May 29, 2021. On May 31, 2021, the papers that will be held are Accountancy, Biology, and History. Mathematics and Philosophy will be held on June 3, 2021. Home Management and Home Nursing Nutrition will take place on June 4, 2021. On June 5, 2021, Sanskrit, Statistics and Arabic papers will be held. Economics paper will be held on June 7, 2021, Psychology on June 9, and Geography on June 11, 2021.
Tripura is among those states which are conducting the Board exams on time even amid concerns over Covid, Earlier the Karnataka education board and Meghalaya Board of School Education also announced that the Board exams for Classes 10 and 2 in the state will take place as per the schedule.
Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) had released the Tripura board 10th, 12th Time Table online at tbse.tripura.gov.in on February 6, 2021. Last year, 6,00,000 students took the class 10 boards and 4,11,631 appeared for the class 12 boards in the state.
Most of the public schools is under the state of TBSE, follow the rules and regulations of the board. The state board was established in the year 1973. The main objective of the board is to construct a syllabus and curriculum, impart resources like books, previous year question papers, etc. The responsibility of the board is the promotion and development of secondary education in the state.
