Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) has published an official recruitment notification to fill up a huge number of vacancies for Gr. II Constable, Fireman and Gr. II Jail Warder posts. A total of 10906 openings are available for these posts under the government. Interested candidates can download the official notification from the website tnusrbonline.org. Eligible and intending candidates must note that the online application process for the recruitment is commencing on September 26, 2020, at the said website. The application process is ending on October 26, 2020. TNUSRB will conduct recruitment tests on December 13, 2020, for the selection of the eligible applicants for recruitment.
The detailed vacancy distribution can be checked from the official notification available at the website. As per the notice, 3784 vacancies are available for the post of Gr. II Police Constable (Armed Service) while 6545 vacancies are available for the post of Gr. II Police Constable (Special Force). In addition, there are 119 vacancies available for the post of Gr. II Jail Warder while 458 vacancies are available for the post of Fireman. Candidates can check the detailed distribution of vacancies across male and female categories from the official notification. It must be noted that no opening are available for female applicants for the posts of Gr. II Police Constable (Special Force) and Fireman.
Selected candidates are to be appointed at the pay scale of Rs 18200 – 52900. However, applicants must ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for recruitment. Pertaining to the age limitations as on July 01, 2020, the minimum age of the applicants must be 18 years. Similarly, the maximum age for General candidates is 24 years. However, relaxations on the maximum age limit can be availed by candidates belonging to special reserved categories. Applicants must also be adequately qualified in order to apply for the recruitment. One must have passed the Class 10th examination or any other Matriculation equivalent examination in order to apply. In addition to the aforementioned minimum eligibility criteria, candidates must also have studied the Tamil language as a compulsory subject in the 10th standard. However, those who have higher qualifications without Class 10th exam are not eligible to apply.
