Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board is hiring 10th and 8th pass candidates to fill up 69 vacancies for Driver and Record Clerk posts

Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board (TNCWWB) is inviting applications from eligible candidates having knowledge of the Tamil language to fill up vacancies for the posts of Driver and Record Clerk. The Board has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the website tncwwb.onlineregistrationform.org. As per the notice, a total of 69 vacancies are available. Eligible and intending candidates must note that the application process has commenced today i.e. September 10, 2020. The last date of receipt of applications is September 30, 2020. Selection of candidates will be done through examination/interview, the schedule of which is yet to be announced by the Board.

As per the recruitment notification published by Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board, 37 vacancies are available for the post of Record Clerk while 32 vacancies are available for the post of Driver. Following successful selection and appointment, candidates are to receive monthly salary depending on the post. Candidates appointed to the post of Record Clerk are entitled to receive a monthly fixed salary in the pay scale of Rs 15900-50400. On the other hand, candidates appointed to the post of Driver are entitled to receive a salary in the pay scale of Rs 19500 – 62000 per month. However, one must fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for recruitment.

The Board has specified the minimum and maximum permissible age of the applicants in the detailed notification. The minimum age of the applicants must be at least 18 years. On the other hand, the maximum age of the applicants cannot be more than 32 years. However, relaxations are applicable to the maximum age for candidates belonging to special reserved categories as identified in the employment notification.

Candidates who have passed the Class 10th exam are eligible to apply for recruitment to the post of Record Clerk. On the other hand, 8th pass candidates are eligible to apply for recruitment to the post of driver. However, in order to apply for the post of driver, one must have a driver’s license of Light Motor Vehicle (LMV). In addition to the aforementioned criteria, the applicants are preferred to be locals with knowledge of the language Tamil.

The selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of examination/interview. The details about the interview are to be communicated with the candidates in due course of time through email. Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 500 in order to apply. However, unsupported widows are eligible to pay a fee of Rs 250. All applications must be submitted at labour.tn.gov.in on or before the last date.
