Thane Municipal Corporation is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies in COVID-19 treatment hospitals. The vacancies are in hospitals in the Kharegaon district of Maharashtra. A total of 2995 vacancies are advertised by the Corporation in a detailed recruitment advertisement. The recruitment advertisement is available for download from the official website of the Thane Municipal Corporation i.e. thanecity.gov.in. Applications for recruitment can be submitted online at the website of the Thane Municipal Corporation. The last date to apply online for the aforementioned recruitment is July 28, 2020.
A total of 2995 vacancies for various medical and paramedical posts are advertised for the recruitment. These posts include 45 vacancies for the post of Intensivist, 120 vacancies for the post of Anesthetist, 120 vacancies for the post of Physician, 120 vacancies for the post of Medical Officer (MBBS) for ICU, another 480 vacancies for the post of Medical Officer (MBBS), 120 vacancies for the post of Medical Officer (Ayush) for ICU and another 120 vacancies fir the post of Medical Officer (Ayush). There are 1380 vacancies available for the post of Nurse and 450 vacancies available for the post of Nurse (ANM). In addition, there are 06 vacancies for the post of Store Officer, 12 vacancies for the post of Medical Transciptionist, 12 vacancies fir the post of MGPS Technician and 10 vacancies for the post of Laboratory Technician.
Candidates need to have the minimum educational qualification prescribed for each post in order to apply. Ineligible candidates are likely to be rejected at later stages of recruitment. To apply for the post of Intensivist, candidates need to have MD/DNB/Anesthesis/MBBS, DA/MBBS, DTCD with IDCCM with 2-3 years experience in ICU. Candidates having an MD qualification in Anesthesia are eligible to apply for the post of Anesthetist. Candidates with an MD/DNB qualification in medicine with 2 years of experience are eligible to apply for the post of Physician. MBBS candidates with 2 years of ICU experiencne are eligible to applty for Medical Officer (MBBS)- ICU posts. On the other hand, those with MBBS and 1-2 years experience can apply for the Medical Officer (MBBS) post. Similarly, candidates with BANS and 3 years of ICU experience are eligible to applt for Medical Officer (Ayush)-ICU post. Those with BAMS/BUMS/BHMS and 1-2 years fof experience are eligible to apply for the post of Medical Officer (Ayush).
The highest number of vacancies are available for the post of Nurse (GNM) for which, candidates need to have GNM or B.Sc. Nursing qualification with 1-3-2 years of experience. Candidates with ANM qualification and 2-3 years of experience are eligible to apply for the post of ANM Nurse. Any graduate with one year of experience as a Store Manager are eligible to apply for the post of Store Manager. Candidates with a Diploma in Medical Transcription and 2-3 years of hospital experience are eligible to apply for the post of Medical Transcriptionist. In addition. for the post of Laboratory Technician, candidates need to have DMLT qualification while MGPS Technician qualified candidates can apply for the post of MGPS Technician. In any case, the maximum age of applicants cannot be more than 38 years.

After completing the application process, candidates are required to generate a print out of the form. This must be produced during the time of interview for selection of eligible applicants. Upon final selection, candidates are appointed contractually for an initial period of 6 months only.
