Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has notified that it is going to commence the process for MA admission 2022-24 soon. As of now, there are not many updates regarding important dates and application forms. However, after this announcement, speculations are high that the TISSNET 2022 brochure along with the application form shall be available in December 2021.
It has been reported that the previous year’s timeline will be followed this year as well. According to that, the examination can take place anytime in January or February 2022. The scorecard will be released a month after the commencement of the examination, tentatively in March 2022. However, these are mere speculations and the exact schedule shall be released with the official brochure expected anytime soon. TISSNET 2022 is an annual exam offering admissions to courses such as MA, M.SC, MHA etc. Every year at least 50 to 55, 000 candidates willing to pursue a Master’s programme appear for the examination annually. Candidates who qualify for the TISSNET 2022 exam stand a chance to get admission in the MA programme of any of the four campuses located in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Tuljapur and Guwahati.
The selection process of TISSNET 2022 has two stages i.e. written entrance exam followed by assessments and a personal interview. The written test has 100 questions based on General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude & Logical Reasoning and English. The duration to complete the written exam is 100 minutes. Although, section wise question number is not mentioned however it is believed that GK accounts for the maximum weightage in the examination. The TISSNET 2022 hold a weightage of 50% in the overall selection process.
The written test is followed by an Assessment and PI round wherein each round is held for 100 marks and accounts for 20% and 30% weightage. An open merit list on the basis of marks scored in the written examination and interview round is drafted for all the categories. Candidates are provided selection on the basis of the college preference opted by them in the application form. However, in this exam, it is strictly notified that if a candidate fails to get marks equivalent to the minimum cut off marks for a college then he shall not be considered for second or third preference.
