Tata Institutes of Social Science has released the timeline and TISS BAT 2021 Application form on the TISS portal, admissions.tiss.edu. TISS BAT exam is held to provide admission to eligible candidates in the 3 year BA programme offered by TISS affiliated colleges. According to the official schedule, the online application has commenced on August 25, 2021, and the same will end on September 13, 2021.
As per the official schedule, the entrance test will be held in remote proctored mode on September 19, 2021, from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm. The merit list is scheduled to be announced on September 27, 2021, and the first waiting list will be available on October 08, 2021. The academic session for the TISS BAT 2021 will commence on October 18, 2021.
According to the eligibility criteria, the upper age limit for general candidates is 20 years. While age relaxation will be applicable for reserved candidates. Other than this, candidates must have qualified class 10+2 in any stream from a recognised board.
TISS is offering admission in mainly two campuses, Guwahati and Tuljapur. The seat intake for both Guwahati and Tuljapur campuses is 60. While The TISS BAT Application form 2021 is available online and candidates opting for the exam can check out the steps below to fill the same:
Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. ba-admissions.tiss.edu to fill the TISS BAT Application form.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the How to Apply option to find the Register option and proceed.
Step 3: Thereafter, the candidates need to register by entering an official email id along with a captcha code. After this, a verification link will be sent to the email id that they must click to verify.
Step 4: Next, candidates need to enter the login and password to log in and fill the application form with personal and academic details.
Step 5: Next, the candidate has to upload the scanned photo that must be in the range of 2 KB.
Step 6: After verifying all the details, the candidate is required to pay the application fee i.e. Rs 1000/ for General and OBC candidates and Rs 250/ for SC/ST candidates via any online payment method.
TISS BAT is a one-hour duration online proctored exam held for three subjects, Verbal Ability, Mathematics & Logical Reasoning and General Awareness(GA). Each subject will account for 20 questions that fetch 20 marks from each section. The level of the question in the exam will be equivalent to class 10th. A sectional cut-off mark equivalent to 35% and 30% for General/EWS and OBC students respectively is applicable for the GA section. The candidates successful in scoring marks equivalent to the cut-off will stand a chance to get admission in the BA programme offered by TISS.
