Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti conducted the Jawaharlal Nehru Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2021 for Class 6 admission on August 11, 2021. As the new month begins, students are wondering about when the results will come out. While authorities have not provided any clarification about the same, students can look at previous year trends to predict when the results will be published. Referring to past year records, results are likely to come out by September 30, 2021, or the first week of October 2021, certainly, on the official website navodaya.gov.in.
Initially, the JNVST 2021 examination was scheduled to be held on April 11, 2021. Results for the same were expected to come out in June 2021, as stated in the official prospectus. However, the exam was postponed and later, conducted on August 11, 2021. Given the trend, results are likely to be announced in October 2021. However, to avoid any further delay in the 2021-22 academic year, results may be announced sooner, preferably in the last week of September 2021.
In 2020, the JNVST examination for Class 6 admission was conducted on January 11, 2020. Results were expected to come out in the month of March 2020. However, around that time, India suffered from the initial outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, results were delayed and finally announced on June 19, 2020.
The year before, NVS authorities organised the JNVST 2019 examination on April 06, 2019. Results for the same were announced on May 26, 2019. Considering this sequence of events, the JNVST 2021 results for Class admission are likely to release between September 26-30, 2021.
Again, candidates must bear in mind that these are just tentative dates and no confirmation has been provided by NVS. While waiting for results, candidates are advised to visit the official portal navodaya.gov.in frequently for important updates. They may also choose to refer to reliable news portals for getting their queries resolved.
Apart from the official website, results will also be posted in the offices of four major authorities namely,
#1 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
#2 District Education Officer
#3 District Magistrate
#4 Deputy Commissioner, NVS of the corresponding region
Once the JNVST 2021 results are announced, shortlisted candidates will only receive provisional admission at the nearby Navodaya Vidyalaya. To confirm their admission, candidates must produce all required documents in front of school authorities. Only after the verification of documents and confirmation of admission, candidates must apply for TC at their previous school.
This year, a total of 661 Vidyalaya have been sanctioned to participate in the selection test. These schools are located across 27 States and 08 Union Territories. Looking at previous years, the cut-off marks for general category candidates range between 72-76 whereas the cut-off marks for OBC category lies between 69-70. Similarly, SC category has a cut-off range between 60-68 whereas ST category candidates must score 52-59 marks to qualify.
