There will be a negative marking of 01 mark for the incorrect responses under objective-type or MCQs. It is expected that the results for TIFR GS-2022 will be released by the end of January 2022. The qualified candidates will then be called for interviews. However, the second stage of the admission procedure may not necessarily follow an interview as there might be a second written test depending on the selected subject or programme.
The interviews will tentatively take place in March-May, 2022. However, the exact dates for the interview will be informed later on. The candidates who will be shortlisted for the interview will be intimated regarding the same via email. After qualifying for the interview, these candidates will then be eligible for admission to the respective course based on their merit.
Except for the Mathematics paper, Chemistry, Computer Science and Systems Sciences, and Biology had MCQs. It was only the Mathematics paper that had both MCQs and True-False-based questions. A total of 40 objective-type questions were asked in each paper.
