Surat Municipal Corporation has published an official notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for various posts under Medical Staff. The official notification for the same is released on suratmunicipal.gov.in. SMC has announced 392 vacancies for this recruitment. Aspirants who are interested in the recruitment can submit their applications on or before the last day i.e August 20, 2020.
The posts that are advertised under Medical Staff are of Specialist Pulmonologist, Senior Resident, Medical Officer, Medical Officer (AYUSH), Nurse and Ayah (Nanny). The recruitment to the said posts is completely on a contractual basis for 11 months. Candidates who are selected under this recruitment receive a monthly remuneration depending upon the posts they are appointed under. Those who are selected as Specialist Pulmonologist receives Rs. 1,20,000/-, Senior Resident gets Rs. 66,000/-, Medical Officer gets Rs. 60,000/-, Medical Officer (AYUSH) gets Rs. 30,000/-, Nurse gets Rs. 20,000/- and Ayah receives Rs. 10,000/-.
The total vacancies distributed amongst the said posts out of which Nurse has the highest of 213 vacancies followed by Ayah post with 66 vacancies. For Specialist Pulmonologist, 03 vacancies are announced, 25 vacancies for Senior Resident, 60 vacancies for Medical Officer, 25 vacancies for Medical Officer (AYUSH). Candidates intending to apply for Specialist Pulmonologist must possess MD Pulmonology. An MBBS degree is required to apply for a Medical Officer post. To apply for Medical Officer (AYUSH), candidates must have B.H.M.S./D.H.M.S./Monthly M.D.(Homeopathy) Ficus. BPNA in Nursing is mandatory for those who are applying for Nurse post. A 10th pass candidate is eligible for the post of Ayah provided that they have relevant work experience in the concerned field. Those who wish to apply for Senior Resident should have educational qualification as per the Medical Council of India norms. Moreover, candidates must be registered with the relevant Medical Council before applying for any of the posts.
The application process for SMC recruitment Medical Staff is conducted through an offline process only. Eligible candidates have to visit the Corporations; office and collect the form during the working hours. They have to visit Room No. 114, Central Establishment (Retention) Department, Surat Municipal Corporation, Head Office. Along with the application form, candidates have to attach relevant documents such as the educational qualification certificates and documents, Medical Council registration certificate, photograph and other related documents. Moreover, candidates have to present with these documents, both in original and photocopies, whenever asked by SMC.
