Staff Selection Commission is taking no chances when it comes to the reduction of malpractices in examinations conducted by the Commission. A latest notice (F. No. 01/06/2020-C-II) has been published by SSC with the subject Malpractices in examinations conducted by the Commission.
As per the latest notice, any individual found to be in indulging in malpractices such as disclosure, publication, reproduction, transmission, storage or facilitation of transmission and storage of test contents of SSC are liable to be debarred or disqualified from further exams.

Whether it is verbal or written, electronic or mechanical such as taking away the rough papers provided in the exam centre, any individual, who is found to be possessing any SSC test content will be treated as malpractice. In such a case of misconduct, the Staff Selection Commission will adopt measures like debarring or disqualifying the individual from taking any future exams conducted by the Commission.
The notice reads, “Disciplinary & legal action would be taken against such candidates as per rules & such matters would be reported to police, if necessary”.
The notice also warns candidates from refraining from indulging in any activity such as the creation of obstruction during the conduct of the exam. IN case a candidate is found to be involved in any such activity of creating disturbance at the exam venue, their candidature will be summarily cancelled. Besides, as per SSC norms, such candidates are also liable for absolute debarment from the future exams conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. Candidates must also note that the Commission can also take legal steps against such wrong-doers including legal proceedings that can be actuated against such candidates.
With the release of the SSC public notice regarding curbing malpractices in the conduct of exams, various Youtube channels have covered the news as significant information for potential and existing SSC candidates. It is apparent from the responses of most candidates, that they are welcoming the latest decision by the SSC.
Students have commented that practices like taking away rough papers after the exam and then using memory-based questions to produce exam analysis which students refer to are just a shortcut to ace SSC exams. The latest decision to curb such outflow of exam contents will definitely lead to candidates working harder and not relying on shortcuts to crack SSC exams.
