Yesterday was the last date to view responses, tentative answer key, and submit challenges for SSC MTS 2019. With this, the countdown for SSC MTS result 2019 begins. As each of the 19.18 lakh candidates who have appeared in the paper 1 held from August 2 to August 22 await results, what they all want to know at once is the expected result date.
Staff Selection Commission publishes status report of results from time to time. In it, the commission notifies result dates of all its exams. The result date for SSC MTS 2019 has not been published any of them until now. However, on the basis of a few separate observations, it is expected that the result will be announced by the end of October – here is why.
There are two basis of this analysis. One is the fact that the notification of Multi Tasking Staff recruitment says that paper 2 will be held on November 17, 2019. Which establishes that the result of paper 1 should be out at least two weeks prior to it, that is by the first week of November.
The other is the comparison of timelines of SSC MTS recruitment 2019 and the previous recruitment that is that of the year 2016.
For the Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff recruitment of the year 2016, paper 1 was held from September 16 to October 31, 2017. Answer key was released 20 days after that. Then 50 days after the last date of objection submission for answer key, the result of paper 1 was announced on January 15, 2018.
If the result of SSC MTS 2019 is declared 50 days from the last date of answer key view and submit objection date, then the result should be announced on November 1, 2019. However it is relevant to note that this time the answer key has been released just 15 days after the exam, that is 5 days sooner than last time. Therefore result should, by that logic, be also available sooner. Therefore it is highly likely that the SSC MTS result 2019 could be announced in the last week of October.
Even after all calculations, ultimately it is in the hands of the Staff Selection Commission as to when it will declare the results. It could be later, or it could even be sooner. Either ways, the result will be published at ssc.nic.in under the results section. The commission will publish a writeup with the cut off and other details. And there will be region wise separate lists containing list of candidates qualified in paper 1 for appearing in paper 2.
SSC had initially allowed candidates to view the answer key, response sheet, and submit objections from September 6 to September 11, 2019. However once they came to know that candidates faced server related issues on one day, the viewing and objection window was extended until September 12, 2019.
The paper 1 was a computer based exam with four sections namely general english, general intelligence and reasoning, numerical aptitude, general awareness. Each section had 25 questions of 25 marks. Candidates will get marks on the basis of final answer key which will now be compiled on basis of objections received. The paper has negative marking equal to 0.25 mark for every wrong answer.
Next exam, paper 2, will be a descriptive test of 50 marks. There will be questions on short essay, letter in English or in any language included in the eighth schedule of the constitution. Number of vacancies for SSC MTS recruitment 2019 are also yet to be announced. Of all the SSC recruitments, the MTS recruitment is most popular as the educational qualification required for it is class 10th pass only.
As per official statistics, a total of 38.58 lakh candidates had registered. 49.73% candidates had appeared in the exam that was held in 39 shifts at 337 centres in 146 cities in 34 states and UTs in India.
