Today is the deadline for submitting the online application form of ISRO recruitment 2019 for technician B, draughtsman B, and technical assistant. The Indian Space Research Organization, recently in the news for Chandrayaan-2, had invited government job aspirants to apply for 86 vacancies. Not only is today September 13, 2019, the last date to apply, it is also the cut off for all purposes including age calculation, and having qualification.
ISRO recruitment 2019 online application form can be accessed from isro.gov.in. Interested and eligible candidates must visit the careers section of the website and click on apply online link against advertisement number HSFC/01/RMT/2019. Upon successful registration, ISRO provides applicants with an online registration number that must be preserved for future reference. The application fee is Rs 250 for male UR and OBC candidates.
The space agency of the government of India will first do an initial screening of applicants. Therefore not everyone who applies will be called for the tests. Those who pass the screening will be called for a written test first, and those who further qualify that will be asked to appear in a skill test. Since this recruitment is for the vacant posts in Human Space Flight Centre, HSFC only will set cut offs for each.
Merit for selection shall be on the basis of marks in written test, subject to qualifying skill test by getting at least 60% marks in it. Written test for ISRO recruitment 2019 shall be held in Bengaluru only.
ISRO recruitment 2019-20 is for three types of posts – Technician-B with 29 vacancies, Draughtsman-B with 12 vacancies, and Technical Assistant with 35 vacancies. There are further trade divisions in these posts. There are 20 vacancies of fitter, 15 of electronic mechanic, 2 of plumber, 1 of welder, and 1 of machinist under technician-B. Then draughtsman mechanical post has 10 vacancies, draughtsman electrical has 2 under draughtsman-B. Under technical assistant post, there are 20 vacancies for mechanical, 12 for electronics, and 3 for civil.
Both technician-B as well as draughtsman posts require cla class 10 pass with ITI / NTC / NAC in respective trade. The technical assistant post on the other hand required diploma, with first class division.
All the posts are open for job aspirants between 18 to 35 years of age. The upper age limit is relaxed to 40 years of age for SC, ST, and 38 years of age for OBC candidates.
The pay level is level-3 that is Rs 21,700 plus DA for technician-B, draughtsman-B posts. It is level 7 that is Rs 44,900 plus DA for technical assistant posts.
List of candidates screened for written test, as well as exam date for the same will be announced later.
HSFC under ISRO is focusing upon working towards the Human Spaceflight Program. Its temporary location is ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru. However its permanent campus will soon be anywhere in Karnataka. The centre is trying to implement as well sustain an affordable human, robotic programme that can explore the solar system and also beyond it. The program envisions to establish human presence across the solar system, the founding stone of which will be human spaceflight to low earth orbit and return.
ISRO’s lander Vikram touched down on the surface of the moon, however not all went as planned. The organization and now even NASA is trying hard to establish a successful connection with it and get some response. The camera on board the orbiter has however shown that the lander is quite close to its planned touchdown site.
