Staff Selection Commission has activated a facility of filling online applications of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2021 through the UMANG platform of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, India (MeitY). According to an official notice, the online applications for Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2021 can be filled through a mobile application, the UMANG app of MeitY. The decision is taken for the convenience of candidates and it will also help to avoid a huge rush from the website of the Staff Selection Commission. With this, now the candidates get another platform to submit and track their recruitment applications.
In order to apply online for SSC GD 2021, the candidates will have to download the UMANG app (in case they do not have it) on their smartphones. To do this, they have to visit the Google Play Store in the case of Android users or the iTunes App Store in the case of Apple users. Thereafter, they have to type ‘UMANG app’ in the search box. After successfully download, they have to install the application on their mobile phones.
Upon successful install, candidates will have to select a language and then press click on “I accept terms and conditions”. By doing so they will be able to see the latest updates on the homepage of the application. In order to register for the Staff Selection Commission- Jobs, they need to log in using their mobile number and MPIN. To get MPIN, they first need to register at the UMANG application and then create MPIN. Further, the candidates have to enter all personal and academic details. In the next step, the candidates will have to upload their documents, photographs, signatures, and other required details. All the documents uploaded in the UMANG app can be saved in the Digi locker.
According to the official notice, the applications for the SSC Constable (GD) Exam 2021 can be filled from July 17 to August 31, 2021. The last date for receipt of online applications is August 31, whereas, the last date for online fee payment is September 02, 2021. The application fee is Rs 100 only. Whereas, women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from the fee payment.

The shortlisted candidates on the basis of applications will be issued call letters to appear for the Tier 1 online computer-based examination. The schedule of computer-based examination (tier 1) will be informed later, says the official notice.
UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to drive Mobile Governance in India. It provides a single platform for Indian Citizens to access pan India e-Governance services ranging from Central to Local Government bodies. It has also added facilities including the latest news, notices of examinations, results of examinations, vacancies, and one-time registrations.
