Sri Ramaswamy Memorial Institute of Science and Technology or SRM University is going to conduct the SRM Joint Entrance Examination (SRM JEE) 2021 Phase I on May 23 and 24, 2021. The Phase II examination shall be held on July 25 and 26, 2021. The entire examination schedule was recently, published by the authorities on the official website srmist.ed.in. The examination shall be conducted for candidates who aspire to pursue a plethora of engineering courses at the university. By qualifying this exam, aspirants shall be able to choose their preferred campuses located in Haryana, Sonepat, Andhra Pradesh, etc.
Interested candidates can apply for the SRMJEE 2021 Phase I on or before May 15, 2021. Subsequently, a mock test for this phase shall be conducted on May 20 and 21, 2021. After conducting the exam, the respective rank list shall be released on the official website srmist.edu.in on May 27, 2021. Similarly, the last date to register for the second phase is July 20, 2021. Phase II mock test shall be organised for aspirants on July 23 and 24, 2021. The rank list for the actual examination is scheduled to release on July 29, 2021.
Candidates interested in appearing for SRMJEE 2021 have to register on the official website by following a 6-step application process. This process includes candidate registration, email verification, online filling of application form, filling up of academic details, application fee payment and uploading required documents. All aspirants must mandatorily pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs.1100. This can be paid using Net banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
During the application process, candidates have to upload their photograph and signature. These documents must be uploaded in accordance with the format prescribed by the authorities. After submitting the application form, aspirants can edit or rectify the details provided except for email ID and mobile number. The reason being that these credentials shall be used for all future correspondence. Hence, candidates are advised to carefully enter the correct email ID and phone number to avoid any inconvenience.
Authorities have also specified the eligibility criteria to apply for the SRMJEE 2021 examination. Candidates must have acquired at least 50 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They must have either passed or are going to appear in the Class 12 board exams with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The third subject can be Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, etc.
The exam must be conducted by any recognised state or central board in India including CBSE, ICSE, NIOS, etc. Students who have completed their Class 12 through NIOS must have completed their class 10 education through regular schooling. Candidates who have acquired GCE A-level, International Baccalaureate(IB) diploma, IB certificate, etc are also eligible to apply. However, they must have the same combination of subjects as mentioned for the Class 12 board examination.
Candidates who have acquired the required educational qualification within two attempts shall be deemed eligible to apply. Furthermore, NRI, OCI and PIO students can also apply for the entrance examination.
