State Level Police Recruitment Board has released an official notification announcing the recruitment for Assistant Chemist, Junior Assistant and Driver. These posts are announced under Excise Department Assam. In total SLPRB has announced 36 vacancies. The online registrations starts from September 12, 2020. Out of the total 36 vacancies, SLPRB has announced 04 vacancies for Assistant Chemist post, 12 vacancies for Junior Assistant and 20 vacancies for Driver. Applicants that are recruited under these posts receive a monthly salary of Rs. 14000-60500 and Rs. 6200/- as grade pay.
Only local residents of Assam are eligible to apply for the aforementioned posts. Candidates intending to apply for Assistant Chemist should have completed B. Sc with Chemistry as one of the subjects. To apply or Junior Assistant, candidates must have a graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. Computer skills for handling data and text on a computer is mandatory for Junior Assistant posts. Those who have passed 12th class, knows how to drives efficiently and possess valid four wheeler driving license are eligible for Driver post.
While applying, applicants must verify the age limit specified by SLPRB. The minimum age limit for all the posts is 18 years as on January 01, 2020. Candidate’s age should not be more than that of 40 years to apply for all the advertised post. Age relaxation on upper age limit is permissible as suggested in the notification.
Candidates satisfying the eligibility can submit their forms online by browsing the official website, slprbassam.in. The forms can be submitted by providing first, second and third preference for the post. Before candidates apply, they must keep scanned copies of photograph, signature and relevant documents ready. Moreover, there is no application fee for SLPRB recruitment. The ID number that is generated after successful submission of applications should be kept safe till the recruitment ends.
Selection process of candidates for the announced recruitment varies post to post. The first stage is common which is the written test. Candidates have to appear for the written examination that is conducted for 100 marks. The scheme of examinations for the written test is available in the notification itself. Second phase test for Assistant chemist includes a computer-based test on Chemistry, CBT for Junior Assistant and CBT & skill test for Driver. The final result is prepared considering marks in both the first phase test and second phase test.
