SET 2019 Exam Date Announced; Online Exam To Be Conducted Across 80 Cities

On January 24, 2019, Symbiosis International University has released the entrance exam date for General, Law, Design and Engineering Courses on http://www.set-test.org. The official website claims SET 2019 application process to commence January 24, 2019, onwards. But the link has not yet been activated and is expected to be functional, anytime soon!

Candidates must note that Symbiosis International will be conducting entrance tests for Law (SLAT), Design (SEED), Engineering (SITEEE), and General (SET) courses. But for the photography course, that it offers the admissions are provided on the basis of Class 12 marks, secured by a candidate. The online registrations for this Non-SET course have already commenced January 17, 2019, onwards.

The last date to apply for SET 2019 is April 15, 2019. If eligible, a candidate can apply for more than one course. But a candidate needs to choose to appear for one paper from the morning session and other from the afternoon session. A non-refundable application fee of Rs.1750 needs to be paid for one test, whereas Rs.3500 for two tests. SET, SLAT, SEE and SITEEE 2019 is going to be conducted across 80 Indian cities. At the time of filling SET 2019 application form, a candidate is required to provide 3 exam center preferences.

The payment can be paid in both online (Billdesk Payment Gateway, Easebuss Payment Gateway, Indian Bank Payment Gateway) and offline (demand draft) modes. Furthermore, at the time of choice filling, a candidate is required to make again a payment of Rs.1000 per programme per institute in demand draft mode in favor of Symbiosis Test Secretariat.

SET 2019 schedule

The basic SET 2019 eligibility is that a candidate should be Class 12 pass with securing a  minimum of 40% – 50% in the related subject combinations. There is 5% relaxation given to SC/ST candidates across each course. SLAT, SEED, SITEEE, and SET will be conducted on May 4, 2019, in online mode either between 9.30 am to 12.00 noon or 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm.

To appear in any of the above entrance exams, a candidate will be issued SET 2019 admit card on April 20, 2019, on the official website, set-test.org.in. The details mentioned on SET 2019 application form will appear exactly on your SET admit cards.

Symbiosis University offers various courses across Engineering, Law, Design, Mass Communication and Management fields over its 12 institute branches. The duration of each of these online entrance test is 3 and a half hours ranging between 150-200 marks. SET, SLAT, SEED, and SITEEE will have objective questions, each having 4 options. No negative marking scheme is applicable to any of these tests.
