Centre For Design Excellence (CODE) Organises “en-CODE- DESIGNER’S CIPHER”; Participation Received From 600+ Students From Across India

On January 12, 2019, from 1 PM onwards the Centre For Design Excellence (CODE) had successfully organized the “en-CODE- DESIGNER’S CIPHER”. More than 600 students from across all over the nation and from 17 colleges from various Universities gathered together in this event.

“en-CODE- DESIGNER’S CIPHER” is an event hosted by Centre For Design Excellence (CODE), a constituent body of Vivekananda Global University (VGU) Jaipur. In this event, many upcoming young designers and architects join together to enhance their talent as well as experience in varied aspects of the design profession as a whole through hands-on workshops, brainstorming competitions, exhibition, and live performances.

Workshops In The Event

The umbrella event had constituent workshops conducted by field experts like Pramila Chodhary from NID for Meter clothing workshop and Sanjeev Kumar from IIGS for Jewelry making workshop. The event witnessed several other interesting workshops like kite making, Reed craft, clay sculpture, lino cut printing, soap carving, jewelry design, etc to engage the designer minds.

REED craft, kite making, and lino cut workshops in the event was an effort to remind and bring back the retro craft techniques which are almost getting extinct due to Modernization.

Competitions For The Young Participants

Apart from the workshops, “en-CODE- DESIGNER’S CIPHER” event also had various competitions to keep the creative minds engaged. There were open competitions like installation, canvas painting, interior design, and fashion design. In addition to that keep the excitement and surprise element alive in the event there were on the spot activities like Mosaic design, secret code groupies and Stitch la. The competitions at the event included prizes worth Rs. 1 lakh and along with gifts.

Cultural Programmes Added The Festive Mood

To add to the festive mood that the event had, there were cultural programs in the evening session. The cultural programmes had pieces based on design education awareness that included group dance competition along with dance drama.

Eminent Personalities at the event: There was a huge gathering of 600+ students from 17 colleges from various Universities from across India. Eminent personalities in the event included famous singer Ravindra Upadhyay, Ar. Surendra Soni, Ar.Kalpana Pandit, Ar.Kavita Jain, Ar. Nishchal Jain, Ar. Tushar Somani, Mr.Bhavani Shankar, Ms.Pramila Choudhary, Ar. Meenu Vashnay and Ms.Pinky Jain from Pink Peacock. The event was ended with an open dance floor with DJ Nawab from 9xm.

About CODE: Centre for Design Excellence (CODE) is an international college with degree granting authority in Architecture, Interior Design, Lifestyle Accessory Design, and Visual Communication Design and have accreditation from CoA, UGC.
