Secretariat Administration Department, Assam is inviting applications for the post of Junior Administrative Assistant. An official notification with No.S(E)179 /2078/96 is released recently on sad.assam.gov.in. Applicants who have a registration number in employment exchange in the state of Assam are eligible for the announced post. The recruitment is announced for 170 vacant posts. Candidates are shortlisted under the pay scale of Rs. 14,000 – Rs. 49,000/- plus grade pay of Rs. 8700/- per month. Eligible candidates can submit their applications for the recruitment before the last date, July 31, 2020.
To apply, candidates must have completed their graduation with a minimum of 45% marks. However, SC/ST candidates must have secured 40% in their graduation. They must possess minimum 06 months Diploma or certificate in computer proficiency, have working knowledge of official software tools such as Word Processor, internet, email and Spread Sheet.
Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years as on January 01, 2020. Relaxation to the upper age limit is provided to reserved category candidates. The upper age is relaxed up to 05 years for SC/ST candidates, 03 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, 02 years for Ex-servicemen and 10 years for PwD candidates.
Only online application against recruitment is accepted. Applicants have to visit the website, recruitmentsad.in to get the activated application form link. Candidates must upload a latest passport size photograph, admit card for 10th standard as the date of birth proof, graduation certificate/mark sheet, scanned signature, employment exchange registration certificate, computer diploma/ certificate caste certificate declaration in Form “A”, income and asset certificate, disability certificate and relevant documents for ex-servicemen certificate.
Candidates have to go through two phases of the selection procedure- written examination and computer practical test. Based on the eligibility criteria, candidates are shortlisted for the written examination round. There will be 03 subjects namely General English, Knowledge of Computer in theory and language skill test. The examination is conducted for 250 marks as an offline examination. Eligible candidates have to appear at District Headquarters of Assam to take the written examination. The dates and schedule will be intimated accordingly.
After qualifying the written examination, aspirants are invited for the Computer Practical Test and Precis Writing Test. Both of these exams are conducted simultaneously in Guwahati. Each of this exam carries 50 marks. Along with the exam, candidates also have to carry certain documents for verification. The documents are as follows, caste certificate, age proof certificate, computer proficiency certificate, Educational qualification certificate and mark sheet, employment exchange registration certificate, disability certificate, declaration form as available in the website.
