Bank of Baroda, one of the largest Public Sector Banks in India, is hiring to fill up 16 contractual vacancies. BOB has published an employment notification on the official website i.e. bankofbaroda.in, advertising vacancies for the post of Business Correspondent Supervisor. The available vacancies are to be filled up on a contractual basis from local candidates of the state of Gujarat only, preferably from the district, in which the vacancy is available. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the recruitment by sending in their applications in the prescribed proforma to the district-wise regional offices, specified in the recruitment notification. The last date of receipt of applications is August 10, 2020.
16 vacancies are advertised for the aforementioned post. The openings are available in various districts of the state of Gujarat. 01 vacancy each is available in the districts of Ahmedabad Region-I & Region-II. There are four vacancies available in the district of Anand and 02 vacancies are available in the district of Aravali. 02 vacancies are available in the district of Banaskantha. 01 vacancy is available in the district of Gandhinagar and 02 vacancies are available in the district of Kheda. There is a single vacancy available in the district of Mehsana and 02 more vacancies are available in the district of Sabarkantha. The associated regional office in each district where the applications must be sent to is specified in the recruitment notification separately for each district.
Only candidates domiciled in the state of Gujarat and proficiency in the Gujarati language are eligible for recruitment. If eligible candidates are not available in a concerned district, candidates from adjoining districts are to be considered for recruitment. However, under any circumstance, candidates from other states will not be recruited. Candidates meeting the specified minimum eligibility conditions are advised to apply. Retired banking officers with service records in any PSU bank up to the rank of Chief Manager are eligible for appointment. Retired clerks and candidates who have held equivalent designation in BOB who have passed JAIIB with a good track record are also eligible to apply. Such candidates must have at least 03 years of banking experience in a rural bank. The maximum permissible age of retired applicants is 65 years. In addition, other candidates who have a minimum qualification of graduation and having adequate computer knowledge (MS Office, email, internet, etc.) are eligible to apply. It is desirable that such applicants have a degree such as M.Sc. (IT)/BE (IT)/MCA/MBA. Such applicants must also be in the age range of 21 to 45 years although the maximum age of continuation of supervisors is 65 years.
The selection of eligible applicants is done through an interview process that is conducted by a committee headed by the Regional Head. There are two categories viz. Category A & B to which the selected candidates are to be appointed wherein a minimum of 30 agents are to be appointed at Cat-A and 20 agents are to be appointed at Cat-B. The initial contract period is for 12 months. Such candidates who are appointed at Cat-A are entitled to a fixed pay of Rs 15000 in addition to a variable pay of Rs 10000. Candidates who are appointed to Cat-B are entitled to a fixed pay of Rs 12000 and variable pay of Rs 8000.
Applications, duly filled in the prescribed proforma appended with the advertisement must be sent to the specified district-wise regional offices as per the applicants’ district of domicile. The applications must be superscribed with “Application for the post of Business Correspondent Supervisor on Contractual Basis”. The necessary enclosure of supporting documents must be attached along with the applications and a recent passport-sized photograph must be affixed to the application form.
