State Bank of India has successfully conducted all four shifts of the SBI Clerk recruitment exam 2021 today. The exam is being held on July 10, 11, 12 & 13, 2021 in four consecutive shifts every day. Today on the first day, the Shift 3 exam was held from 02.00 PM to 03.00 PM while the Shift 4 was held from 04.30 PM to 05.30 PM.
We have analysed the question paper in terms of the level of difficulty, the number of questions asked from each section and the overall number of good attempts expected in each shift from memory-based reports. Shift 3
Difficulty Level
Some candidates reportedly found the Shift 3 question paper of today’s SBI Clerk 2021 exam easy. Overall, the level of difficulty of the Shift 3 question paper was of the easy to the moderate difficulty level.
As per reports, the section on English was the easiest while the two other sections on Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Aptitude were of the easy to the moderate difficulty level.
Number of Questions
Among the 35 questions of the Reasoning section, 03 to 04 questions were asked from each of the topics of Syllogism and Inequality. 05 questions were asked on the topic of Three-Digit Numbers and 03 questions were asked from Direction. Questions were also asked from topics such as Uncertain Rows and Order Ranking.
Reading Comprehension and Cloze Test accounted for 13 questions altogether in the English section of the third shift exam. 04 to 05 questions were asked from each of the topics of Error Correction, Word Swapping and Sentence Improvement. In addition, 02 to 03 questions were asked on an average from topics such as phrase rearrangement, word usage etc.
In the Quantitative Aptitude section, among the 35 questions, the majority were based on Simplification and Arithmetic. As per reports, around 10 to 12 questions were asked from each of these topics. The rest of the questions were asked from topics such as Data Interpretation, Missing Series etc.
Good Attempts
With the level of difficulty of the Shift 3 exam remaining within moderate extents, the total number of good attempts is envisaged to be in the range of 70-76 questions out of 100. Section-wise, the highest number of good attempts is expected to be in the Reasoning section with students reporting to have attempted all questions correctly.
In the English section, the number of good attempts can be in the range of 22 to 25 while in the Quantitative Aptitude section, the number of good attempts can be in the range of 21 to 24.
Shift 4
Difficulty Level
Similar to the Shift 3 exam, the overall level of difficulty of the Shift 4 exam of today’s SBI Clerk 2021 Prelims was of the easy to the moderate difficulty level. Once again, the level of difficulty of the English section was easier than the rest.
The level of difficulty of the Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude sections were of the easy to the moderate level.
Number of Questions
As per memory-based reports, in English, the maximum number of questions were from the Reading Comprehension and Cloze Test. A total of 10 and 06 questions were asked from each of these sections respectively. The rest of the questions were from topics like error detection, word swapping and sentence rearrangement.
A diverse variety of questions were asked from the Reasoning section. In this section, around 5 questions were included from each of the topics of day puzzle, box puzzle, seating row arrangement and syllogism. Additionally, 2-3 questions were asked from each of the topics of Number series, direction and distance, blood relation etc.
In Quantitative aptitude, the majority of the questions were from simplification and Arithmetic. However, questions were also asked from topics like Data Interpretation, Quadratic Equation etc.
Good Attempts
With the level of difficulty remaining in the easy to moderate levels, the overall number of good attempts in the Shift 4 exam is anticipated to be prevalent in the range of 70 to 76 out of 100.
The maximum good attempts are envisaged in the Reasoning ability section (being as high as 28-30) while in Quantitative Aptitude, the number of good attempts is expected to be in the range of 20-25.
