Today, on July 11 at around 11:55 am, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) released the much awaited RRB Group D and ALP Application Status 2018. The Board was to release the status way back in April but it got delayed due to huge number of applications. Finally, now the candidates can check their RRB Status 2018.
The application status for Group D and Loco Pilot has been released separately. The candidates can only check the RRB Status 2018 online, from July 11 to 20, 2018. For RRB Group D Recruitment 2018, the status has been released by individual RRB at the candidate login. Whereas, for RRB ALP and Technician Recruitment 2018, the application status is available state wise.
Process to Check RRB Group Application Status 2018
To check the RRB Group D Application Status, the candidates will have to visit the official website of the RRB for which they have applied in the application form. Then, the candidates will have to seek the appropriate link and then access the candidate login by entering the registration number and date of birth.
In all, there are 16 RRBs for Group D and these are – RRB Gorakhpur, RRB Ahmedabad,RRB Bilaspur, RRB Ajmer,RRB Bengaluru, RRB Allahabad, RRB Bhopal, RRB Bhubaneshwar,RRB Patna, RRB Chandigarh, RRB Ranchi,RRB Guwahati, RRB Secunderabad, RRB Chennai, RRB Kolkata, and RRB Mumbai. Process to Check RRB ALP / Technician Application Status 2018
On the hand, the application status of RRB ALP / Technician 2018 can be checked state wise. The candidates just need to visit the official website of RRB and then choose the state that was selected in the application form. Then, to access the login the candidates will have to enter the registration number and date of birth. This is how RRB ALP Application Status looks like:
Reasons for Rejection in RRB Status 2018
Railway Board has rejected a lot of Group D and RRB ALP applications on various grounds. The major cause of application form rejection are incorrectly uploaded photograph / signature / document, submitting of more than one application form, candidate ineligible, data incorrect, candidate’s name already debarred in RRB and RRC list, fee not paid, etc.
RRB Group D and ALP Admit Card Expected in July End
Soon, the RRB will announce the exam date for RRB Group D and ALP. The exam will be held in the month of August and September 2018, as informed by the Indian Railway. The admit card for the exam are expected to be available by the end of July 2018. As per the CEN 01/2018 and CEN 02/2018 it will be available a week before the examination.
To download the admit card of RRB Group D or ALP, the candidates again have to access the candidate login. The admit card will only be released online. The candidates will have to carry it as a print out on exam day. Along with it, the candidates will also have to carry one photo id proof and two passport size photographs.
RRB Group D and ALP CBT 2018
RRB Group D Recruitment started in February 2018 for 62,907 vacancies. The number of vacancies in RRB ALP / Technician Recruitment 2018 is 26,502. This is one of the biggest recruitment throughout the world. The first stage of recruitment process is computer based test.
The CBT for RRB Group D CBT is of 90 minuted and that for ALP will be of 60 minutes. In Group D, the candidates will have to solve 100 multiple choice questions, whereas, in ALP the total number of questions will be 75. In both the CBT, the questions will be of Multiple Choice Type (MCQs). These questions will be asked from General Intelligence & Reasoning, Mathematics, General Science, and General Awareness on Current Affairs. Syllabus for the exam is same and is as follows:
To qualify CBT, the candidates will have to score more than the cut off score. The cut off for RRB Group D and ALP / Technician is 40% for UR and 30% for OBC and SC candidates. For the candidates belonging to ST category the cut off will be 25%.
Candidates who will qualify CBT will be called for Physical Efficiency Test, followed by Document Verification round. The qualifying candidates of ALP will be have to appear for CBT stage two.
