RRB Group D 2018: Exam, Admit Card, Session, Centre, etc Dates Announced

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has published a notification regarding the RRB Group D 2018 exam date, admit card, and other dates. With the release of the notification, many queries of the students have been resolved. The notification has been published on the various RRB zones websites.

With the release of the notification, four important points have been clarified in it. First, the candidates will be able to check the Exam City, Date and Shift for RRB Group D Recruitment on September 09, 2018, onwards, Second, the Board will start the link for Mock Test from September 10, 2018. Third, the SC/ST category candidates will be able to download their Train Travel Authority from September 10, 2018. Fourth, the admit card for RRB Group D Phase I, i.e. Computer-based test will be available for download 04 days prior to the test.

The candidates will be able to know their Exam City, Date, Session, download Train Travel Authority (for SC/ST candidates only) and Admit Card for CBT through online mode only. The do the following activities the candidates need to log in on the official websites of RRBs. Next, the candidates need to enter their login credentials such as Registration Number and Password.

It is mandatory for the candidates to bring the printed copy of the RRB Group D Admit Card on the day of the examination.

The candidates who will be appearing for the Computer-based test should take the mock test which will be started by the Board. This will allow the candidates to get familiarized with the Computer-based test and the difficulty level of the exam. The candidates can take this mock test free of cost and from any device like mobile phone, computer, laptop, etc.

As far as the RRB Group D 2018 exam pattern and the marking scheme for RRB Group D is concerned, the Board has confirmed that the test will be of 90 minutes duration. There will 100 number of MCQ type questions. The test will consist of 04 sections namely – Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness and Current Affairs.

In the Mathematics section, there will be 25 number of questions, 30 in General Intelligence and Reasoning, 25 in General Science and 20 in General Awareness and Current Affairs.

The candidates should note that there will be a negative marking for an incorrect answer. This means that for an incorrect answer, 1/3rd marks will be deducted. Hence, you must be extra careful while answering the questions. Remember that the number of the wrong answer will affect your final score, Hence, your focus should be to minimize negative markings by improving accuracy.

As per the official notification, the admit card for RRB Group D will be available for download 04 days prior to the test. Hence, it will be available for download from September 13, 2018. Note that other than the print out of the RRB Group D Admit Card, you also have to carry a valid id proof. The Id proof to be carried along with the admit card must be Original and valid. Photocopy of the ID proof will not be accepted.
