The Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) and Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training (MILAT) organises an award ceremony every year to recognise the contributions done in Law. This ceremony is organised in the occasion of Law Teachers Day on September 01 each year. This year it was the occasion of 10th Law Teachers Day. Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida was awarded the ‘SILF MILAT Institution of Excellence’.
The awardees were presented awards by none other than the Vice President of India himself – Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, who was also the Chief guest of the function.

The ceremony started with the inauguration by Hon’ble Shri Dipak Misra, Chief Justice of India. The ceremony included a symposium on “Role of Legal Education in Nation Building”. This symposium was joined in by Vice-chancellors, Directors, Jurists, Law Teachers and students from all over the country. Many other prominent guest presents in the function included Padma Shri Prof N.R. Madhava Menon, Shri Lalit Bhasin, and Prof S Sivakumar.
Lloyd Law College was established in the year 2003. The college is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut & the affiliation is approved by the Bar Council of India.
Lloyd law College provides B.A.LL.B. 5 year and LL.B. 3 year program. The admission to the aforementioned courses is done on the basis of Lloyd Entrance Test (LET) which is followed by a personal interview. The application forms for the entrance test is expected to be available in the first week of January 2019 for admission in the academic session 2019-20.
Apart from the ‘SILF MILAT Institution of Excellence’ category, the ceremony had other categories too, which include Prof.N.R. Madhava Menon Best Law Teacher Award, Justice A.B. Rohatgi Jurist Award, SILF-MILAT South Asian Jurist Award and Best Law Students of the year award.
The notable awardees in the above-mentioned categories are Prof. R. Venkata Rao of NLSIU, Bangalore for the Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon Best Law Teacher Award and Shri K.K. Venugopal, Attorney General for India for the Justice A.B. Rohatgi Jurist Award.
