Rajasthan Judicial Service (RJS) has released an official notification for the recruitment of Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate posts on its official website hcraj.nic.in. The recruitment will be conducted for a total of 120 vacancies. The total vacancies are 89 as per the year 2020 whereas, the total vacancies are 31 as per the year 2021. Candidates can fill the application form to apply for these posts from July 30, 2021. The last date to submit the application form is August 31, 2021, while the application fee can be remitted till September 01, 2021 (11.59 PM).
Out of 89 vacancies of the year 2020, 35 vacancies are reserved for general category candidates whereas, for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and MBC category candidates, the vacancies reserved are 14,10,18,08, and 04 respectively. Out of 31 vacancies of the year 2021, 14 are reserved for general category candidates whereas 4, 3, 6, 3, and 1 vacancies are reserved for candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and MBC categories. The application fee for general category candidates is Rs.1000 whereas for OBC, and EWS candidates, the application fee is Rs. 750. For the candidates of SC, ST, and disability categories, the application fee is Rs.500.

To be eligible for the recruitment drive of Civil Judge and Judicial Magistrate, candidates must have a graduation degree of Bachelor of Laws (Professional). Along with this, candidates should know all the Rajasthani dialects, their social customs and Hindi language (both oral and written communication). The minimum age of candidates must be at least 21 years and the maximum age of candidates should not be more than 40 years as of January 01, 2022.
For this recruitment drive, candidates will be selected based on their performance in the preliminary exam, main exam, and final interview. The preliminary exam will be conducted in the pen-paper format where candidates have to attempt the exam on OMR sheets. The exam will consist of 100 objective questions from subjects such as Law, Hindi Proficiency, and English Proficiency. The preliminary exam is going to be of 100 marks whereas the Main exam is going to be of 300 marks. Candidates can check the details scheme and syllabus of the selection tests in the official notification available at hcraj.nic.in. Besides, the Final Interview will carry a total of 35 marks.
Based on the performance in the main exam, candidates will be shortlisted further for the interview. In the final selection interviews, preference will be given to the candidate’s background, nature, code of conduct and character. After the interview round, the list of selected candidates will be released in which the candidates with high aggregate marks will be given preference. As of now, the conducting authority has not announced the exam date.
