The West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling (WBCROS) has announced the exam dates for madhyamik pariksha, that is secondary examination or class 10 for December 2019 exams. Madhyamik exam routine dictates that the exams be held from December 12 to 20, 2019. Tests shall be conducted on a total of 8 days. On all days, all papers will be held from 11.45 am to 3 pm.
As per Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya madhyamik exam routine December 2019, the first exam date is December 12, 2019. On this day, WBCROS will conduct papers for the subjects bengali, hindi, and others in first language. Then on December 13, 2019, is the exam for physical science. December 14, 2019 is reserved for history.
Exam for second language, english, is on December 16, 2019. Then for life science on December 17, 2019. Thereafter geography paper is on December 18, 2019. The additional subjects namely home science, economics, political science, commerce will be held on the same day, December 19, 2019. Mathematics will be on the last date, December 20, 2019.
For the December examinations, the last date to submit form was extended from November 4 to 5, 2019, in view of a holiday. Admission notification for the session was published on September 25. Application form for permission for extra time for the visually or physically handicapped candidates for the madhyamik pariksha December 2019 was made available at wbcros.in towards the end of October. Just before that, the organization had released a revised notification for HS admissions.
Last year WBCROS December exams were held from December 14 to 22, and the result was announced on March 6 in the next year. With a similar schedule for the exams this year, the Rabindra Open Schooling result of December 2019 exams is thus expected in February or March 2020. Result will be announced online, at wbcros.in; students will need registration number to check the same.
WBCROS or TWBCROS came into being when the need arose in the state for open schooling back in the year 1997, the State Open School was formed as a wing of the School Education Department, to help people of different age groups and various geographical locations to get access to education.
Then in 1998 it was renamed to Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya. In 2001, the body became a statutory organization. Then in 2006-2007, RMV underwent a name change and was then called West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling.
The open schooling system undertakes open learning and incorporates flexible rules, use of self study materials, personal contact programs. It conducts exams for class 10 and class 12. Government of West Bengal recognizes the board, and it is at par with West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education, West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
