As promised, Punjab School Education Board has started the registration process for PSTET 2019, the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test today. Although the new user (to register) link was already available yesterday when the notification came out, but it has been activated today only.
Before one proceeds to apply online for PSTET 2019, it is critical to go through the uploaded documents on the website first. The official website of the teacher eligibility test are two – one is pseb.ac.in, and the other is pstet.net. However for registration and all such events, pstet.net will be the single point of access.
TET guidelines, fee structure, schedule, notification, syllabus, minimum qualifications, gazette of India are all easily available here. Two more documents by the name of how to apply, and demo will also be uploaded shortly.
Coming to PSTET 2019 registration, the process itself is completely online. The first step to register to go to pstet.net and click on new user. Immediately, a long list of instructions opens. Candidates must go through it all and then scroll down to the agreement, clicking which provides the link to proceed. Click the link to go forward.
Now in the registration form, one has to enter name, email address, mobile number, secure code. The registration number and password get sent to the email ID and mobile. The sms will be from QPPSTETS. And email will be from [email protected].
Then login with the received details.
In step number two for filling PSTET 2019 application form, one has fill in general details. The general details to be filled include mother’s name, father’s name, category, gender, date of birth, marital status, nationality, employment status, language, question paper medium, choice of exam district. Then mailing address has to be entered.
Coming to third step, upload scanned photograph of size between 15 kb to 50 kb. And upload scanned signature of size 2 kb to 20 kb. Note here that first image has to be selected, then uploaded. There are two different buttons for each.
Fourth step is to preview and lock form.
In fifth step enter academic details. These include selecting which paper to apply form, class 12 data, graduation details. Also enter details of college or institution from which B.Ed degree / diploma was done.
Then in step sixth, pay the application fee. The application fee for general and BC candidates is Rs 600 for one paper, and Rs 1200 for two. For SC, ST, PH candidates the fee is Rs 300 for one paper and Rs 600 for two. Ex-servicemen are exempt from fee.
When all is done, and all details are verified, candidates need to submit the form. There is no offline process from starting to end.
The last date to register for PSTET 2019 is November 25, 2019. After that corrections in form will be allowed from November 26, 2019, to November 28, 2019. Thereafter PSEB will issued PSTET 2019 admit card on December 9, 2019. Six days later, will be the exam.
PSEB will conduct Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test on December 15, 2019. Officially PSEB is referring to this exam as PSTET 2018, through exam is in December 2019. Prior to this, the exam for year 2017 was held, and even before that that for year 2015 was conducted.
