Punjab Subordinate Selection Services Board (PSSSB) has released an official notice for the students who have applied for Election Kanungo and Driver posts can download their admit cards. Candidates can visit the official website of the governing authority and can download their admit cards from there only. It is to be kept in mind that the candidates who were facing problems while downloading the admit cards can follow certain steps so as to obtain their admit cards for the exam which is to be held on September 16, 29 and 30, 2018.
Candidates who were facing this problem of downloading the admit cards are requested to fill their personal details carefully and provide authentic information as filled by them at the time of submission of application form. The governing authority has provided some kind of relief to candidates in the form of ‘Recovery Details Option,’ which could be used if the candidates have forgotten their Login ID or for some reason are not able to Login. Candidates can fill their Application Number in the Recovery Details Option. If the application number is not available, candidates are requested to use 2 or 3 spaces in their name and/ or father’s name. Download admit card here.
Till last year, the total number of posts available for the candidates were 30 in number but now the governing authority has reduced the total number of posts available to 11. To be precise, 5 posts are for General category candidates, 2 posts are for SC/ ST category, 1 is for Physical Handicap (PH) candidates, 2 are for Ex- Servicemen Army candidates and 1 is for Other Backward Class (OBC).
It is to be kept in mind that the terms and conditions for the recruitment process is the same as previous year’s trends and advertisement. It is necessary for the students to have a minimum aggregate of 33% in the entrance examination so as to eventually to get a job.
Candidates can download their admit card by entering their Name, Father’s Name and by entering their Date of Birth. It is important that candidates must fill their name and other details carefully in order to download their admit card.
The examination dates have also been specified by the governing authority i.e the examination for the post of Driver and Election Kanungo will be held on September 16, 2018. The examination for Computer The examination for Fish Farming or Pisciculture will be held on September 29, 2018. Video Conference Operator, Operator/ Technician, and Computer Teacher will be held on September 30, 2018.
The Candidates who were having problem in downloading the admit card can check the official website of PSSSB. On the official website, candidates can check their errors and mistakes which they have done while submitting the application form and then can rectify that as per the guidelines specifies by the governing authority.
For the examination of Computer Operator, candidates can study for basic things linked to computer studies for instance. introduction to computer, office tools, internet, web technologies etc. For the paper of Video Conference Operator, candidates can study about the operating system, introduction to multimedia. Candidates who will give the paper for Computer Teacher, they can study about Programming Languages, Introduction to Computers, C++ Language, JAVA, Algorithms etc.
