Punjab Secondary Education Board (PSEB) recently released the official date sheet for the Class 10 Term I board exams 2021. The date sheet has been published in Punjabi Language on pseb.nic.in, PSEB’s official website. Until Last year, the state education board conducted only one board exam for both Class 10 and 12 students. However, from this year onward, it has planned on conducting two board exams – one for Term I and the other for term II. According to the Term I exam date sheet, Class 10 exams will be conducted from November 11 to 22, 2021. Here’s all they need to know.
As per official reports, the Term I board exams will be held through the OMR-based offline mode. This means that all questions in the paper will be of multiple-choice type. Candidates have to fill the circle corresponding to the correct option in the OMR sheet. Term II exams, however, will be theoretical, expecting students to write both short and long-form answers. But now’s not the time to for candidates to think about Term II exams.
Interestingly, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to follow a similar pattern to evaluate students during the academic year 2021-22. In their case also, Term I exams will be MCQ-based and Term-II tests will be theoretical. The exact rank, grade or marks will be disclosed at the end of the academic year.
Coming back to the PSEB Class 10 term I board exams 2021, students will have a duration of 3 hours to attempt and finish the entire paper. But those appearing for vocational and NSQF subjects will have only 2 hours to attempt the paper. So, the 3-hour long exams will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with an additional 15 minutes to fill the OMR sheet.
Another important thing to note is that differently-abled candidates will be given a slightly tweaked question paper during the PSEB Term I board exams to aid them. The categories include hearing impairment, intellectual disability, visual impairment, autism, spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, chronic neurological condition, any learning impediment, etc.

Currently, the country is in the recovery stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, conducting offline exams is still risky, especially for a duration of 180 minutes. To safeguard the health of all students and staff members, the PSEB Class 10 Term I board exams will be held by following all COVID-19 norms.
