Punjab Secondary Education Board (PSEB) has released the official date sheet for the Class 12 2021 Term I board exams. The date sheet has been uploaded in the Punjabi language on the board’s official website pseb.ac.in. In an unprecedented scene of events, the state board recently decided to conduct two board exams for Class 10 and 12. The term I board exam will be MCQ-based while the Term II board exam will be theoretical, asking short and long-answer type questions. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also decided to follow a similar pattern for the academic year 2021-22.
According to the official date sheet, Class 12 Term I board exams are all set to take place from November 10 to 22, 2021. Subjects such as General English, General Punjabi, Punjab History and Culture, General Foundation Course and Computer Science subjects will be held for 3 hours. The remaining subjects will be conducted for 2 hours with an additional 15 minutes to fill the OMR sheet for all subjects. Thus, candidates have to appear for the exam from 11:00 am to 2:15 pm.



The date sheet has also specified that candidates suffering from any kind of disability will be given a different question paper during the PSEB Term I board exams. This disability can be hearing impairment, intellectual disability, visual impairment, autism, spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, chronic neurological condition, any learning disability, etc. Additionally, exams will be conducted in the OMR-base offline mode while adhering to all the COVID-19 protocols.
The PSEB Class 12 Term I 2021 date sheet has specified a separate schedule for each of the four categories, namely 1. Agriculture Group, 2. Business and Commerce Group, 3. Home Science Group and 4. Engineering & Technology Group. All four groups will have Punjabi Language and Punjabi History & Culture on November 10, 2021.
This year, the PSEB Class 12 board exams were going to take place in March 2021. However, due to the second wave of COVID-19, board exams were cancelled and students were evaluated based on alternate criteria. Some students were dissatisfied with their marks. For such students and those who are looking to improve their ranks, a separate set of board exams will be held from November 10 to 25, 2021. For the candidates’ convenience, the schedule for each stream, namely Arts, Commerce, Science and Agriculture has been specified. Exam duration remains the same as specified before for Class 12 Term I board exams.
