Odisha Staff Selection Commission has published an official notice regarding the start of online applications for Junior Stenographer recruitment 2019. The official recruitment advertisement to fill up 03 vacancies for the post of Junior Stenographer on contractual basis in the Office of the Directorate of Local Fund Audit, Bhubaneswar is available at ossc.gov.in. The online application process for the recruitment has commenced today i.e. August 26, 2020 at the aforementioned website. The last date to apply online is September 25, 2020, until 11.55 PM.
As per the official advertisement number IIE-161/2019-4657/OSSC; Dated 30.12.2019, eligible and intending candidates can apply for the recruitment during the specified schedule. The available number of vacancies are distributed across the constitutional categories of Scheduled Tribe(01) and Unreserved (02). OSSC will conduct a written exam for the selection of candidates. Finally shortlisted candidates are to be appointed on a contractual basis during the initial year for a remuneration of Rs 9500 per month.
Candidates who are of the minimum age of 18 years and not more than 32 years as on January 01, 2019, are eligible to apply for the recruitment. Relaxations on the upper age limit are however applicable for candidates belonging to SEBC, SC, ST, PWD, ESM categories and women candidates. Candidates are advised to refer to the official advertisement at the website for the detailed specification of applicable years of relaxation. In addition, applicants must have passed Class 12th exam in Arts, Science or Commerce stream conducted by CHSE Odisha or any equivalent examination. Candidates must also possess a minimum shorthand typing speed of 80 WPM in English and Odia.
Those who fulfil the aforementioned minimum eligibility conditions can apply online at the official website of the Commission. One has to pay an application fee of Rs 200 in order to apply for the recruitment. However, SC/ST and PWD candidates are completely exempted from the payment of any application fee. Eligible applicants have to appear in a Stage-I Language Test which will be based on English & Odia language. The test for each of the language will be conducted over 30 minutes duration and carry 25 marks each. The paper will consist of objective type MCQs that must be answered in OMR sheets. At Stage II, candidates will have to appear in the Shorthand test for English and Odia language. Each of the tests will carry 100 marks in total and candidates need to qualify by securing at least 33% marks. 1/2 marks are deducted for every typing mistake made. However, there are no specified qualifying marks for the Odia typing test. Final selection will be based on the completion of Certificate Verification at Stage III of the selection process.
