Odisha Staff Selection Commission has published an official corrigendum to the indicative advertisement & activation of online application form for the post of Combined Police Service Examination 2019 (Advt No. 4608/OSSC dated 24.12.2019). As per corrigendum IIE-74/20192920/OSSC, 44 additional vacancies for the post of Assistant Jailor of Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services, Odisha has been included. In addition, the online application form for CPSE 2019 has commenced today i.e. August 26, 2020, at the official website ossc.gov.in. The last date to apply for the recruitment is September 25, 2020, until 11.55 PM.

Eligible and interested candidates are invited to apply online for the recruitment that will fill up 104 vacancies of Sub Inspector of Police, Station Officer (Fire Service) and Assistant Jailor. The applications for the competitive exam can only be submitted online on or before the specified last date. There are 47 total vacancies available for the post of Sub Inspector of Police, 13 for the post of Station Officer (Fire Service) and 44 vacancies for the post of Assistant Jailor. Finally selected candidates are to be appointed on a contractual basis for the initial year for a consolidated monthly payment of Rs 16880.
Interested candidates can apply for the recruitment after ensuring that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions as indicated in the official advertisement of CPSE 2019. An Indian candidate who has a Graduate degree in any discipline is eligible to apply for the CPSE 2019. However, those who wish to apply for the post of Station Officer must be a Science or Engineering graduate. Women candidates are eligible to apply for the post of Sub Inspector of Police and Assistant Jailor. However, none of the vacancies is suitable for Physically Disabled candidates. The age of the applicants must be within 21 to 25 years as on January 01, 2019.
An examination fee of Rs 200 must be paid by the applicants in order to apply online. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are exempted from the payment of fees.
