Days ahead of the Term End Examination (TEE) 2022, the Odisha State Open University (OSOU) has announced the postponement of this examination. TEE 2022, set to commence on Monday, April 18, has been postponed indefinitely due to the prevailing heat conditions in Odisha. An official notification announcing the same was published on OSOU’s website osou.ac.in. The notification only mentions the postponement and its reason without giving the slightest hint of a possible revised schedule.
Amid this uncertainty, candidates have been instructed to keep track of the official website for any important update pertaining to the TEE 2022 exam. It is safe to assume that once the weather conditions improve in the state, OSOU will be making an announcement about the revised schedule.
OSOU TEE 2022 – What does the notice state?
As per the public notice issued by OSOU,
“…the Term End Examinations for U.G and P.G Programmes (1st,3rd and 5th Semester) scheduled to begin from 18.04.2022 are heeby postponed till further notice due to the prevailing extreme heat conditions in the state.
The above-mentioned statement clearly mentions that the TEE 2022 exam has been postponed for both UG and PG courses. Both were set to begin on the same date with differing ending dates. The singular reason attributed to the postponement of exams is the prevailing weather condition in the state.
Currently, Odisha is witnessing a surge in temperature along with the unbearable scorching heat. Temperatures are rising to almost 37-38 degrees and the IMD predicts this heat to sustain for a few days. Hence, conducting offline OSOU TEE 2022 exams is bound to affect the health of students, leading to possible dehydration and fainting spells. With this concern in mind, the only way out was to postpone the exam.
With respect to the OSOU TEE 2022 revised schedule, the notice only mentions one statement –
The revised schedule of the Examinations shall be intimated soon.
OSOU TEE 2022 – Previous Schedule
