Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (RBSE) will conduct Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) 2021 on September 26, 2021. Govind Singh Dotasra, the Minister for School Education (I.C.), Tourism & Devsthan, GOR, has made the announcement via twitter.
He has further announced that application form for the REET exam will be re-opened for EWS candidates. The candidates who belong to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) can apply from June 21, 2021 to July 5, 2021.
The minister concluded his tweet by saying that RBSE will soon publish revised notification for REET 2021.

REET exam has undergone multiple postponements in the year 2021. Whereas initially the state level teacher eligibility test was supposed to be held on April 25, 2021, it was postponed due the festival of Mahavir Jayanti. The new date was June 20, 2021. However due to the pandemic, this revised date also got cancelled. Here’s hoping that third time would be the lucky charm.
Of all the state level TETs, REET is especially important considering the large number of candidates that apply for it. As per reports, more than 16 lakh candidates have applied for this REET exam, the 2021 one.

Whereas the paper 2 for level 2 will have questions on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi), Language-II (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Gujarati, Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi), Science and Mathematics Or Social Science.
For both papers, correct answers get 1 mark, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The syllabus being similar to that of CTET, candidates who have already prepared for CTET can easily clear the REET exam by practicing previous year question papers and mock tests.
REET, like other TETs in the country, are the basic benchmark for a career in teaching. One has to clear REET or CTET like exams in order to apply for teacher recruitment to respective classes.
