National testing Agency (NTA) has now taken over the responsibility of conducting the ICAR AIEEA UG, PG, And AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) examination from Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). In 2019, National Testing Agency (NTA) took over major national level entrance examinations. The recent notice by NTA now confirms that ICAR held national level agriculture entrance exams will be conducted by NTA.
Earlier the CBSE held examination like JEE Main, NEET, UGC NET etc were taken over by NTA. A new addition to NTA’s bag is ICAR AIEEA UG, PG, And AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) examination. The NTA will conduct ICAR Examinations for 2019 for AIEEA (UG), AIEEA (PG) & AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) on July 01, 2019. The test will consist of a single paper. The exams will be held in CBT format only.
NTA has also declared that it will be releasing the entire information of the exams on April 01, 2019 on the websites nta.ac.in and ntaicar.nic.in. The application process is also starting from April 01, 2019. The last date to apply will be April 30, 2019. However, the fee can be paid until April 30, 2019.
The exams were earlier conducted in the online mode only. National Testing Agency is continuing to conduct the exam in CBT mode itself. There is no change in exam pattern or syllabus expected as of now. As seen with other NTA held examinations, the syllabus and marking schemes are not altered in any way.
ICAR conducted All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA-UG), All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA-PG) and All India Competitive Examination (AICE) Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) PhD Degree Programmes (PGS) in a national level for admission in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in agriculture and allied sciences.
Through AIEEA UG, the candidates are offered admission in courses such as B.Sc (Hons) Forestry, B.Sc (Hons) Community Science, B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, B.Tech Food Technology, etc. courses.
Similarly, ICAR AIEEA PG is held on an annual basis to enroll aspirants for the postgraduate course in Agricultural & Allied Sciences.
On the other hand for admission in the Doctoral Degree Programmes of Agricultural Universities under ICAR-AU system, ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) is held.
National Testing Agency is successfully conducting the entrance exam of national level in online mode across the nation. Till date, it has successfully conducted the JEE Main 2019 January exam, UGC NET December 2018 exam, CMAT 2019, GPAT 2019, NEET UG 2019 will be conducted on May 05, 2019 and NCHM JEE 2019 is scheduled to be conducted on April 27, 2019.
National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted its first examination which was UGC NET December 2018 and then it conducted the JEE Main 2019 January exam. The body aims to conduct efficient, transparent and international standards tests. NTA is not only responsible for the conduction of the examination, but all the pre-exam and post-exam responsibilities also lie within its responsibility for each exam.
NTA is now conducting all national level examination in the field of Engineering, Medical, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Fellowship programmes, management and now Agriculture too.
