The medical fitness test is going to be conducted the very next day for each candidate who clears the Document Verification (DV) round. In this round, RRB checks that if the candidate is fit to carry out the duties concerned with the post or not. Aspirants clearing the medical exam are going to get appointed for the post applied.
The medical test for each zone will take place every day at 3 different places. To carry out the medical exam, additional doctors, paramedical staff and other support structures will be arranged at the centers. The medical exam will take place 6 days a week until the time the process gets completed.
One doctor will only take 20 medical exams per day. After the completion of the candidate’s medical test, the final decision is in the hands of the doctor. In case more than one doctor is appointed at a hospital then, the physical and vision examination is going to be conducted shift wise. For example, one doctor will conduct the vision test in the morning and another one will conduct physical parameters test. In the noon shift, the doctor will be reversed and are going to take the tests.
RRB Group D Recruitment 2018 is open for 62907 vacancies. The posts which come under Group D are Track Maintainer / Trackman, Gateman, Pointsman, track maintenance, gateman, and porters. The candidates are shortlisted on the basis of three stages which are, Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination.
Visual Acuity standard is an important criterion for the railway staff. The medical standard is different for each post. It ranges from “A2” to “C1” criteria. PwD category candidates are exempted from the Physical Test but are required to pass the medical exam. Those candidates who wear glasses, or have a flat foot, knock knee, squint eyes, color blindness, and other bodily disability are not suitable for the post.
Candidates who were unable to clear the RRB Group D CBT and PET exam should not get disappointed. RRC has released a huge number of vacancies for the Group D posts in 2019. This time a total of 103769 vacancies have been released for the Level 1 posts. The last date to fill the registration form of RRC Group D 2019 is April 12, 2019. The CBT exam is scheduled to be held in the month of September to October.
