During the press conference of July 7, 2018, it was announced that National Testing Agency (NTA) will establish a network of Test Practice Centre. These centres will help the students aspiring to appear in NTA held examinations from 2019, practice and train themselves for the online mode of examination. Thus, as per the latest update on NTA’s official website, NTA has called the Schools and Institutes to register themselves as Training Practice centres and help the aspirants free of cost. The notification reads “Call for TPC Registration from Schools & Colleges”. The selected schools/institutes will actively act as test practice centres tentatively form the 3rd week of August 2018.

From 2019, NTA will conduct JEE Main, NEET, UGC NET, CMAT and GPAT.
The registration form for the schools/institutes is available at nta.ac.in. The interested schools, colleges or other government bodies can register themselves. such institutes have to provide information like complete address of the institute/school/college, details of the head of the institute and most importantly computer infrastructure information like the number of labs, number computers available and information of internet facility available.

Based on the information provided, and upon verification, NTA will select the institutes that are apt to actively act as Practice Test centres if all the JEE Main aspirants across the nation. The open registration on the official website of NTA indicates transparent and open nature of the newly formed National Testing Agency that will conduct JEE Main and NEET in online mode only and twice a year form 2019.

Now, since the majority of the candidates participating in national level entrance examination like JEE Main are still comfortable with the pen and paper mode of examination, this step will be very beneficial. Candidates can visit these practise test centres on weekends – Saturday and Sunday and train themselves on using the online mode of examination.
The first exam of JEE Main 2019 will be held between 06 to 20 January 2019, for which the application forms will be available from September 01, 2018. The examination will be in the online mode completely.
The second JEE Main 2019 Exam will be held tentatively between 07 to 21 April 2019, for this exam, the application forms will be available form the second week of February 2019.
