National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) hereby announces O Level Result July 2018 exam on 29 Oct 2018 along with A, B, C level exams at student.nielit.gov.in. Students can check result by entering roll number or name or application number. Besides O Level, results of A, B, C levels are also out.
Result is specified in terms of grades. An S grade is awarded to those have scored above 85%. A grade means candidate has got 75% – 84%. B grade says that score is 65% – 74%. C grade is for those who have got 55% – 64%. And D grade is for 50% – 54%. Anyone below 50% gets F grade, indicating that they have not passed the exam.
Marks obtained in practical exam is not counted to calculate overall grade. Nevertheless it is compulsory to clear the practicals also. Candidates who wish to get their marks retotaled need to request retotalling by filling application form with requisite fee of Rs 200.

. There they have to navigate to Students Zone, under which, there is a link for Results. On this page, there is a table comprising of all the courses offered by NIELIT and their result links. Next to the tab containing ‘Theory Examination (O, A, B, C Level)’, there is link for Results which one must click. Then candidate reaches student.nielit.gov.in. At students.nielit.gov.in page, one has to click View Results link and then select O Level to reach result login to check page. One can either enter exam year, exam name, roll number, date of birth; or such details with candidate name; or such details with application number to check result.
NIELIT offers O Level Course equivalent to Foundation Level, A Level equivalent to Advance Diploma, B Level equivalent to MCA, C Level equivalent to designated to be at M.Tech level. MHRD recognizes these courses for the purpose of employment.
Theory exams for O/A/B/C levels are held in January and July months, starting from the second Saturday each time. Practical exams are held in February and August months starting from second Saturday.
Previously the NIELIT was DOEACC Society (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses) which was an autonomous scientific society of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India to accredit institutes / organizations for conducting particular course, specializing in the nonformal sector of IT education. Today, NIELIT is involved in formal as well as non formal education in area of IECT and also looks into developing industry oriented quality education and training program.
Through O level course, candidates learn the basics of Information Technology IT Tools and Business Systems, Internet Technology and Web design, Programming and Problem Solving through ‘C’ Language, Application of .NET Technology, Introduction to Multimedia, Introduction to ICT Resources, a Practical and Project Work.
