NID DAT 2021

National Institute of Design (NID) is going to conduct the NID Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT) 2021 Prelims examination on Sunday, March 14, 2021, from 10:00 am onwards. The prelims exam for Master of Design (M.Des) begins at 10:00 am and shall go on till 2:30 pm. At the same time, the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) prelims exam shall be conducted from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. As less than a day is left before the NID DAT 2021 examination, here are certain last-minute tips that candidates must follow.

Competitive examinations are always a stressful concept for students and the same is applicable for NID DAT 2021. Under such stress and pressure, candidates must not revise any difficult or complicated concept a day before the examination. Moreover, they must also not start a brand-new concept. If they do so, candidates may get confused and forget other topics in which they are well-versed.

Since it’s a design examination, candidates must consistently polish their sketching skills. Even on the last day of preparation, it is better to get some last-minute sketching practise so that their grip over important sketching techniques remains intact on the day of the examination. It is also proven that sketching can help candidates control their stress and anxiety. Hence, this last-minute tip is necessary to fulfil two important purposes.

The third important last-minute preparation tip is to skim through the previous year question papers. Candidates can revise multiple concepts and understand which topics are given greater priority. This way, students will get a hang of all the topics present in the examination and they will not get confused or blanked-out during the examination.

Another important preparation tip is to get adequate rest and sleep before the examination. Candidates getting enough sleep shall have a better concept-recalling capacity especially while solving the paper. Moreover, candidates must also have a healthy meal and not remain famished during the examination.

Candidates are also expected to follow certain rules and regulations at the examination centre. Firstly, they must report to the allotted centre at sharp 8:00 am. Moreover, they must carry their exam admit card to the centre. Authorities shall not grant entry to the examination hall without the admit card. The admit card contains important information such as the candidate’s name, date and examination time, etc. It also contains certain exam instructions which the aspirants must read before arriving at the centre.

Along with the admit card, students must also carry a valid photo ID to the NID test centres. The B.Des exam is scheduled from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm whereas the M.Des exam is going to be conducted from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. Candidates take note of this and arrive at the centre well in advance. Students arriving late to the examination may not be allowed to appear for the same. Hence, it is of paramount importance to keep all these instructions in mind.
