National Human Rights Commission is inviting applications for filling a total of 5 vacancies. Eligible candidates can send the application form in the prescribed proforma to apply for the posts of assistant registrar, and assistant. NHRC is accepting applications until January 6, 2020. Details of this recruitment have been made public vide advertisement 04/2019, published and available at nhrc.nic.in.
The commission is recruiting for 1 vacancy in the post of assistant registrar, and 4 vacancies in the post of assistant. NHRC shall recruit eligible candidates through different modes, wherein for the assistant registrar post recruitment will be either by deputation or by re-employment for short term contract, and for the assistant post, recruitment will be done only through deputation.
To apply for the post of the assistant registrar, applicant must possess a degree in law and hold a post in the central government, or serving or a retired officers of central govt. / supreme court / high court with 8 years of regular service. Those fulfilling this criteria will be hired through the transfer on deputation recruitment mode. Otherwise candidates will be hired by the re-employment method for which the employee’s service period shall not exceed 2 years, others criteria (degree and place of post) being the same.
Similarly, for the post of the assistant, candidates must hold a post under the central government on a regular basis for a period of 5 years. It must also be noted that the post held must lie under the grade pay of Rs. 2400.
NHRC has set the upper age limit of applicants to be 56 years for engagement through deputation basis. Details regarding the eligibility criteria, educational qualification, age limit, method of recruitment post wise, application procedure, application proforma for different recruitment method, general recruitment condition are published on the commission’s website, available at nhrc.nic.in.
According to the advertisement released, there are two different application proforma based on the method of recruitment adopted. In the publication, one shall see two annexures, annexure 1 and annexure 2. For hiring done on the deputation basis, NHRC wants candidates to send their application as per annexure 1 proforma. And for the hiring based on re-employment, short term contract and direct recruitment, they should apply using annexure 2.
Both the annexures are attached within the recruitment advertisement. Adhering to the eligibility criteria, NHRC wants the applicants to apply for the post in offline mode by downloading the proforma from the official website, which is nhrc.nic.in. The advertisements are available under the “vacancies/result section” under the activities tab on the home page.
The filled-in application form has to be sent to “The Under Secretary (Estt), National Human Rights Commission, Manav Adhikar Bhawan, Block-C, GPO Complex, INA, New Delhi-110023”. According to the instructions laid down by the commission, applicants have to send the self-attested documents related to age proof, qualification and if applicable then the category certificate and disability certificate.
The selected applicants for the post of the assistant registrar will be hired for a salary ranging in between Rs. 67700 to Rs. 208700, under level 11 of the pay matrix. The same for the post of an assistant is Rs. 44900 to Rs. 142400, under pay level 7.
