In the recent notification, Narmada Hydroelectric Development Corporation, Madhya Pradesh has announced a recruitment drive for 21 vacant posts of Apprentice. An official notification in this regard can be downloaded from the NHDC website, nhdcindia.com. As per the notification, the recruitment is announced for Graduate apprentice, Diploma/ Technical Apprentice and Technician (Vocational)/ ITI Apprentice. Applications from eligible candidates can only be submitted by September 25, 2020.
Out of the total 21 vacancies, 05 vacancies are announced for Graduate Apprentice, 05 vacancies for Diploma/ Technical Apprentice and 10 vacancies for Technician (Vocational)/ ITI Apprentice. Selected applicants for the respective apprenticeship gets training at Indira Sagar Power Station. Graduate Apprentices gets a monthly stipend of Rs. 9000/-, Technical/ Diploma Apprentice gets Rs. 8000;/- and Technician (Vocational)/ ITI Apprentice receives Rs. 7000/-.
Applicants intending to apply for Graduate Apprentice posts must have Bachelors degree (BE/ B. Tech) in Engineering with a minimum of 70% marks for General/ OBC and 60% marks for SC/ ST candidates. To apply for Diploma/ Technical Apprentice post a diploma in relevant engineering branch is mandatory. Candidates who have passed 10th class can apply for Technician (Vocational)/ ITI Apprentice. In addition, they must have passed the National Trade Certificate Examination (NTC) or State Certificate Certificate Examination (STC) from ITI. Degree/ Diploma/ ITI acquired from distance or correspondence education system is not eligible for this recruitment.
Candidate’s age should not exceed as that prescribed by the conducting body. The minimum age limit for all the categories is 18 years. For General Category, the upper age limit is 25 years. The maximum age limit is relaxable for SC/ ST category up to 05 years, OBC (NCL) for 03 years, Physically Handicap persons is 10 years. An additional 05 years is relaxable for NHDC regular employees.
Interested and eligible applicants who wish to apply for the announced post can apply through online apprenticeship portal, apprenticeship.gov.in. Those who are applying for Graduate and Technical/ Diploma Apprentice can apply through BOAR website postal, mhrdnats.gov.in. Once candidates are done with the form submission, they have to submit self-attested copies of the following documents – proof of date of birth, documents in support to educational qualification, Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate valid caste certificate, self-undertaking for OBC (NCL), copy of employee certificate. The documents should be sent to ‘The Deputy General Manager (HR), NHDC Indira Sagar Power Station, Narmada Nagar District Khandwa (MP) Pin 450119’.
Once the application procedure is completed, NHDC scrutinizes the submitted application forms. Based on the eligible applicants, the selection process for Graduate/ Diploma/ ITI apprentice is decided. Applications sent by wards of NHDC cadre employees are considered separately.
